I am a historian now working on a project about Russian princely families from the Caucasus.

Sorry to join this discussion so late, some seven years after the last message was posted.

Irene, you must know the Melik-Gaykazian family since your grand-aunt Elena was married with Joseph Isaacovich Melik-Gaykazian.

Also, there is an Abamelik lady in France whose father was Anatol, born on 3 July 1900 in Kiev, passed away in France on 11 March 1977. Anatol's father was Basil or Vasil. His mother was Olga Hergog.

Would you know how the branch of Anatol relates to yours?

Best regards,
Hovann Simonian

Hi Hovann

The Princess Abamelek I am interested in definitely lived in Paris after the Revolution.

Kind regards

Annette

Thanks Annette. Unfortunately I don't know how your princess Abamelik relates to the branch I mentioned to you.

This web page, in Russian, provides a good summary of the Abamelik family, including several portraits.
