For more information on Grand Duke Nicholas Konstantinovich, read my book FANNY LEAR LOVE AND SCANDAL IN TSARIST RUSSIA. He was not killed by the Bolshviks, he died of pneumonnia. There is much more info on him, never published before. I was in Uzbekistan to research his lifea and visited his Palace.

It is the same Grand Duke. It doesn't seem he was killed by Bolsheviks--that was written in Robert Massie's book  The Romanovs: The Final Chapter but seems contradicted by many other sources, both from the time and from current research.

Grand Duke Nicholas Konstantinovich suffered from chronic bronchitis and died of pneumonia in January 1918. This is the Grand Duke we are talking about, the son of Grand duke Konstantin Nicholaevich.
