Quite a lot !

Start from John Van de Kiste book on the Greek Monarchy. Both Prince Nicholas & Andrew of Greece published books on their lives and military lives. Queen Frederica had a autobio "A Measure of Understanding" (mostly ghost written).Celia Bertin wrote one on Princess George of Greece (born Princess Marie Bonaparte), Hugo Vickers wrote one on Princess Andrew of Greece. Prince Michael of Greece wrote a book on his family and edited a photo book on the same subject. Princess Marie of Greece (later Grand Duchess George of Greece) wrote her autobio named "A Romanov Diary"...Lots more.

The memoirs of Queen Alexandra of Yugoslavia were ghost-written, but I do not believe that is true of Queen Frederica's.

Lastly, the two editions of Queen Victoria's Descendants, plus the 2004 update, by Marlene Eilers Koenig are excellent sources for information and photos of the Greeks.

I think there is also a book on the life of King George I of Greece, now reprinted by Picadilly Rare Books in Ticehurst. Another Greek book on the Princesses of Greece.

Queen Frederica wrote a second book after  A Measure of Understanding. It is, apparently, an account, from the Queen's perspective, of the events leading up to the fall of the Greek monarchy. It would make fascinating reading but King Constantine and his sisters have always - perhaps understandably - refused to consider publication.

I think that is a wise move since Queen Frederica had always been a contraversal person. The book would only open old wounds...

and then there is the new book on British Diplomacy and the Greek monarchy -- and the Greek monarchs do not come off well.

It is a fascinating book...expertly and thoroughly researched...but very critical of missteps by the last three Hellenic monarchs.

My book, THE ROYAL HELLENIC DYNASTY was coauthored with Prince Michael of Greece, is a lovely photo book of more than 200 pages filled with amazing images. It is both available through Amazon and through eurohistory.com

being recently in Athens I came across a new pubblication about royal palaces in modern Greece - it seemed wonderful to me!

the title is: ''Ανάκτορα στην Ελλάδα'' by Καρδαμίτση-Αδάμη Μάρω, 300 pages, 90 euros, ISBN: 9789602042830

I manage to find a copy of this rare book by the help of my father yesterday, it took five years to find a copy at a somewhat good price.
