I don't think that a photo or a painting like this is available. There are photos showing Ludovica and her children Sophie, Max Emanuel, Carl Theodor and Mathilde, bur they are quite famous. I also have a photo of Elisabeth, Mathilde, Helene and Carl Theodor. And there was a setting in Possenhofen in the early 1860's showing Elisabeth, Helene, Sophie, Max Emanuel and their cousin Ludwig Victor. It seems to me that Duke Max refused to be photographed with his wife and children.

Here is the painting Ludwig I. gave Elisabeth as a present in 1854. It was created by the famous and adorable Joseph Carl Stieler.

Und kehr' ins Feenreich nach Haus -
Nichts soll mich wieder bringen.

Maybe you are interested in this picture (1862):

On the right you can see Elisabeth, Ludovica (sitting), Sophie, Helene (sitting), Mathilde, Marie (sitting), Ludwig, Max (sitting), Carl Theodor and Max Eamanuel

I found this family painting of the Wittelsbachs in one of my books. Then I took a picture of it with my camera. Finally I am able to show you a bigger version of Elisabeth's family. However, this version contains little numbers for identifying reasons. I couldn't cut off all of them.

I'm sorry, Veronika. This picture is only a detail of a family group showing the royal family of Naples and the Two Sicilies. The ladies on the picture are Maria Annunziata (sitting), daughter of Ferdinando II., Marie and Mathilde. The guy in the back is a younger brother of Maria Annunziata. Maybe Pasquale or Gaetano?
I've heard that Hamann used this picture in one of her books. She wanted to express that Elisabeth (who is Annunziata in fact) looked ill during this period of time.

Here is the whole picture:

As I don't have a bigger version of it, it is quite hard to identify all the people. I know that the young woman in the white dress standig on the left is Princess Maria Immaculata. The man next to her could be her (future-) husband Archduke Karl Salvator. In the center you can see the former Queen Marie Therese dressed in black with some of her younger children. Maybe the man behind the group of children is King Francesco II.

Dear Veronika, I think this is the pic I've posted in June ... I post so many pictures that I have to delete some of them from time to time.  ;)

Oh, that´s pitch. :D Woman at the right side look´s like as Sisi. But her sisters often look´s like as her. Thank´s for correction.

All of Sisi's sisters copy her dress and style. Mathilde was especially fond of dress.  ;)
