I am so sorry she was massacred with husband. In that night soliders found her favourite book on shelf Le Transhion on page 80. She got more hits than her husband.... On YouTube you can see great documenatry about last Obrenovis, just put Queen Draga.

Also, she wrote autobiograph book I, Draga but it disappeared on night may 29th/June 11th 1903.

She didn't deserve to be murdered, of course.....
Her death was so terrible, so it 's hard to describe. But, some says Draga(after exumation of bodies) was pregnant, in fourth week! ! !
I don't know certain was it true, but...if it was....Can you imagine that? But she was barren, we know? ? Again mystery....

lets face it , she was far too unsuitable to marry the young King. The marriage was extremely unpopular as it was expected that he would bring prestigue to the country with marriage to a foreign princess. She was  regarded as self seeking and barren ...with the popular belief that she would pass the crown to her brother. It was probably a real love match but she was a fool to encourage him and allow herself to marry. Surely she must have been aware of the dangerous path she was treading?

I agree, she was definitely treading on thin ice.  A forty year old widow, known to be barren, marrying a king 15 years her junior, especially as his first wife, is asking for trouble!

Neither Alexander's father nor mother approved the marriage.  I read on wikipedia that ex-King Milan (Alexander's father) was away at the time of the marriage, seeking the hand of a German princess as his son's wife.

Anyone know who that princess was?

There were several options which his father King Milan aranged for his son....some of the choices were:
-Princess Marie of Greece and Danmark (1876-1940)
-Princess Alexandra Karoline von Schaumburg-Lippe (1879-1949)
-Princess Sybille von Hesse-Cassel (1877-1952)
-Princess Xenia of Montenegro (1881-1960)

definately Pss Alexanda of Schaumburg -Lippe and all arranged  by his father in 1900, then the news of his union to Draga leaked out. it was a good match as she was sister to Queen of Wurttemberg and Pss of Waldeck-Pyrmont ( sister in law of the Dutch King and Duke of Albany)

And Alexandra never married....

Yes, i wonder why? anyone know. Also where is Draga and Alexander buried and while i'm posting any information on the head of the Obrenovic family today....apparently descended from Jakov (d 1811) step brother of Pr Milosh

They are burried in the Church of St.Marco in Belgrade...

Firstly, they were buried in old Church at Tashmaidan, in 1942 they were moved to St. Marko Church.
In one grave was woman, her hair was red, she had long gown, in another one male, without 3 theeth, in uniform....----from 1942, when they moved QD and KA.

Any reason for the reburial?

They married on 5 August 1900. When Alexandar announced their engagement, public opinion turned against him. He was viewed as a besotted young fool in the power of a wicked seductress. Dowager Queen Natalija bitterly opposed the marriage, and was exiled by her son, in part because of it. His many arbitrary and unpopular acts were blamed on Draga's influence. There were rumors that Aleksandar would name Draga's brother as heir to the throne.

This last threat was the final straw. On June 11, 1903, a group of army officers invaded the royal palace, led by the brother of Draga's late husband. They found Alexandar and Draga hiding in a cupboard and savagely murdered them, throwing their mutilated bodies from a palace window.

Very interesting book below titled " The Memoirs of a Balkan Diplomatist" by Count Chedomille Mijatovich  (p. 189).   Queen Dagmar apparently  felt that She was predestined to marry Alexander because of a Dream! Also gives a Description of her and some Conversations this Diplomat had with her. For the Record this Book states the King and Queen were found hiding in an alcove in the Wall not a Cupboard.

According to this macabre note the Serbian Postage Stamps issued to commemorate the Coronation of his Successor King Peter I. are of great interest to Collectors because of the death mask bearing the mutilated features of the murdered King. The Stamps in question engraved by Louis Eugene Mouchon of Paris became known as the Death Mask Stamps and the whole issue was quickly withdrawn by the Serbian Government. The Death Masks are seen only when the Stamps are turned upside down.

According to this Queen Draga rumors included (1) that She was having the Heir and later (2) that she had the intention of having her Sister's Child  pass as Alexander's Child. It was believed that She was determined to have a Family Member of her own as Alexander's Heir...any truth to these rumors at all?
