Either silk or satin...

The replica, yes, seems to be made with a silky cloth like any of these. If I am not wrong, the real one (last dress) was, in fact,  made with black taffeta.

Taffeta is shiny like silk too.

Found this dress in a facebook German site about Empress Sissi (if I'm not wrong a few photos of this or a similar dress were posted time ago, only that the gown wasn't completely photographed). According to the site, the dress was going to be auctioned a year ago (October 18th, 2012), the start prize was  7,500... I wonder what prize it finally reached. Anyways, it is much cheaper than the Czech blue velvet dress mentioned on the previous posts!

I think she wore a grey dress to Valerie's wedding.

Finally, after looking for a very long time, I got to see the full skirt of Empress Sissi's well known black taffeta dress that she wore the day when she was murdered by Luigi Lucheni.
