, I found it in the very nice book "Bernadotteporträtt från två sekel" (two centuries of Bernadottian portraits) which I bought in Stockholm this June.

Great, I also bought the same book and in June this year in Stockholm ; ). I'd say the book is quite good, with really nice reproductions.

Thats funny, Sveta! Smiley It was actually quite cold in Stockholm in June so I had plenty of time for shopping...
As Sveta said the book has a lot of beautiful paintings from the Bernadotte family, beginning with Karl XIV. Johan and ending with King Karl XVI. Gustav and Queen Silvia. Eventhough I have a lot of books on the Swedes I was surprised that a lot of portraits were new to me and the text is very well researched and informative as well.

I remember reading in the recent Haakon & Maud biography that Haakon's mother Sessan noted about the celebratory dinner at the opening of the Randsfjord Railway in Norway in 1868 that "Uncle August got quite drunk"! :-)

It is said that August's nickname for Teresia was "Lilla Hoppetossan" - this nickname is untranslatable.
Lol, cool! I am sure that the people who translated the name of August's dukedom Dalarna as Dalecarlia would give it a try!
