For those who may be interested in attending the Royalty Weekend this year but are in the dark regarding existence of the event or of the details.

The Royalty Weekend is taking place on Saturday and Sunday, 10-11 April 2010 in a quaint village Ticehurst in East Sussex (UK).

The "Weekend" comprises normally four royalty themed lectures on each of the days presented by individuals whose names are known to most of us on this Forum.

The cost of the "Weekend" is £100 (please note this is UK pounds not euros) and includes the lectures and any supporting handouts plus a lunch (and refreshments) on the two days and a more formal evening meal and wine on the Saturday.

I have absolutely no involvement with any of the administration aspects of the "Weekend" but have the agreement of the organisers of the lecture programme to publicise the event.

I'll try and answer any questions relating to the "Weekend" or least will know somebody who can provide a more definitive response.

For those members of Alexander Palace Time Machine  who are on Facebook, a "Friends of The Royalty Weekend in Ticehurst" group has been set up which is open to anyone to join.

Hi,

Thank you Allan for the 'heads up' on this important event....

Do we know yet what subjects will be presented and who will present them?

I will be attending again regardless of whatever lectures are programed, as it is a great social gathering for all of us.
So many friendly faces!!

I haven't heard of anything similar in Australia but there is a corresponding one run by Arturo Beeche in the United States.

There is a at least person from Australia who attends the Ticehurst Weekend from time to time
