Re: Reply #29:   I would agree with you, "Lisa'. It has been over a year, with no follow-up from the source.   Present and future economic difficulties and exceptionally poor public interest in the subject matter have undoubtedly killed it ( no pun intended).  Similiarly, how many times have we heard on here "I'm writing a book about...," and I doubt if  1 in many, many thousands of expressions manifested EVER sees the printed light of day, even if self-published by some vanity press.  Reality trumps passion most all the time in this field.  AP

I have posted the storyboards for the first shoot in July on my myspace site.  It is the execution, so be wary.  It was a little disturbing to create.

I got confirmations on casting my Yurovsky, Ermakov, Rudolf Lasher and Anna Demidova last week.  This weekend I send invites to a Nicholas, Alexei (the hardest role to cast), and Nikulin.

I then will be posting a call for performers, actors, extras and doubles.

The wheels keep turning.

Wow, this sounds SO exciting!!! Cannot wait to see the finished product. Wish all the best!!

I visited this person's barely functioning web page a few months ago and even shot them an email to see if there was any update to be had.

Little to my surprise I never heard back. It's a been a few years now and I think AP's post above (also from quite a while back) pretty much sums it up.

Disappointing to see but, as someone trying to put together his own script for a future mini-series project on the subject (with help from AP members), I can see how it's foolish to get ahead of oneself. Chances are nothing along these lines is ultimately going to see the light of day. What's left is to keep plugging away and dream a little without getting bogged down by disappointment.

Start by writing...a lot...that part doesn't cost you anything (other than maybe the expense of a few books). Keep at it because you love it not because you expect it to become something wildly successful. Pretty standard advice for any sort of writer, artist, musician, filmmaker, who isn't already pretty famous and/or wealthy.

Excellent advice edubs31 ! One must do it because one must...how many "over night" sensations have been in reality at something for years? Success finds one busy at WORK . The work is the reward...the other may follow

Well touché there indeed Bless!

And that part about it not costing you anything other than the price of a few books? Make good friends with someone on the AP and you'll be able to borrow some of those books free of charge ;-)
