A friend of mine has been trying to tell me that Anastasia had long hair that she wore up on her head when the family was in Tobolsk and Ekaterinburg. I say this is impossible, since their heads were shaved in the summer of 1917, hair only grows about 6 or 7 inches a year, and they died in July 1918. Also, in Baroness Buxhoevedon's book, she said, at the time they were leaving for Ekaterinburg, "all of the Grand Duchesses had bobbed hair." I think there are also pictures of this, with the girls sitting around a table? Any photographic evidence of Anastasia's hair in 1917-1918, including the bald ones, will be appreciated!
