Title: Like or Dislike #2
Post by: tatianolishka_ on June 19, 2007, 08:22:17 PM
My friend was trying to keep me entertained (sometimes he can bore me to tears) and came up with this game. The first person (me) writes two things and the next person chooses which one they prefer, then another. Example: CSI: Miami or Dog the Bounty Hunter. Then the next person writes which one they prefer (ex. Dog the Bounty Hunter) and something else (Nickelback) So it looks like this: Dog the Bounty Hunter or Nickelback?
Here we go!

Crossing Jordan or Friends (the TV show)?

Post by: Grand Duchess Jennifer on February 15, 2009, 12:03:05 PM
I hope there's nothing wrong with me starting this thread. :)

I noticed a This or That topic, but since it was old I thought I would start a new one. The old thread is http://forum.alexanderpalace.org/index.php?topic=5197.0

I'll start:

Plane or car?
Title: Re: This or That #2
Post by: Robert_Hall on February 15, 2009, 12:36:50 PM
It probably would have been best to update the old thread rather than start a new one. But, be that as it may, I'll join  for a bit at least.
Neither. I do not drive and prefer trains and ships.  I do fly a lot internationally, so I am used to it, but  I do not necessarily like it. I prefer crossing in a liner. But, that takes time and a lot more money. And, both in Europe and the US, I take trains whenever possible. I love train travel.

I am locking the first thread for this subject.  We normally lock at 20 to 30 pages and I think we are over 60 in the first thread.

They take so long to load for dial up users.

So carry on and have fun in Like or Dislike #2

The book version or the film version (for eamxple Harry Potter, Atonement etc.)
Title: Re: Like or Dislike #2
Post by: Imperial_Grounds on April 14, 2009, 08:28:08 AM
Hmmm. It depends on the book or movie.
as for the HP-series it would be the books, for Atonement it would be both. To give another example, The life before her eyes: the movie, for the ending is much better then the book's and has stronger meaning.

So it really depends on the book/movie

Titanic(like or dislike is wrong, rather say intresting or not:p) - Keep an eye on the date ;)

I like all of Salvador Dali's work.  It is very Freudian and works to make us think about our subconscious mental activity.  I miss the fact that we don't have the same sort of eccentric artists around today.  the world has become a bit bland.  I saw a great exhibition in Istanbul.

In the same vein, Freud's theories.

Hmmm, don't know much about Freud. Though I'm reading about him in 'Vienna: A Nervous Splendor', yet for now I can't say if I like or dislike them. Though I do think some must be 'out-dated'

interesting non sequitor Justin
I'll answer it for you

I don'#t like fishing except for salmon fishing in BC or Marlin fishing.  As for kids that would depend on the kids and how serious they are about fishing.

Doing something you shouldn't be.  In other words, being naughty.
