Thanks ThomB !!!
These plans are really interesting. They are probably from late nineteen century. It's easy to locate the main halls and rooms, and I suppose that the private quarters are in the top end. Probably, as the other grand-ducal palaces, the duchess' rooms are in the first floor and the duke's quarters in the ground floor. Can anyone identify each room ??

Whitesun.

Hello! :D
Great forum! I found it two months ago and I feel very surprised  :o to find a site about the Russian Empire, the last tsar family and the pre-revolutionary society. It's a very interesting forum, and I’m very happy to see the enormous quantity of subjects that are commented here. It’s enjoyable too, the subforums about other royal dynasties of the 19th century ending. My name is Eduardo and I’m from Spain, I’m 18 years old. I’m interested in History and especially in ancient royal families. I think that I will learn a lot.

Bye !!!!! ;)

I have find a very interesting watercolors in Gatchina's Museum webpage  http://museum.gatchina.ru/virx/virx.htm
but there are some pictures that I can't situate. I think that some rooms were located in the second and ground floor of the main wing of the palace, but I don't have any plans of these areas. Anyone can help me?  :-\
