Anastasia Nicholaievna / Re: Anastasia's pet name
« on: July 15, 2011, 08:33:47 AM »
As several people have brought up, Anastasia was also called Shvybzik by her older sisters, but I thought I'd bring up that Shvybzik roughly translates to "imp" or "little imp."

My story is a lot like tina's.
My dance studio was putting on the musicla Anastasia when I was 5 or 6 and I asked my mom to rent the movie. I then researched the real story online (I was a weird little kid) and the rest is history.

I am a 12 year old girl, and let me just say that most girls my age would fall for any guy who doesn't pick his nose or talk weird.

The Tudors / Re: Favourite Fictional Tudor based books?
« on: February 04, 2009, 08:09:25 AM »
Some good fictional books for kids (I mean 9 - 12 or so) are Beware, Princess Elizabeth and Elizabeth: Red Rose of the Tudors(a royal diary book)

I am a lot like Erika and Alix, although Alix is my least favorite member of the IF. I too am an actress, and my father died before I was born. I get very insecure in public alone, and I suppose I don't like Alix as much because she never found a way to get past that in herself. She had a loving family and didn't have to worry about much. I guess I get upset because she didn't seem to understand that it could have been worse, and she could have had a much more difficult childhood.

Once upon a December - Deana Carter/Disney Anastasia Movie

Dancing bears Painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December

Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory

Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart
Used to know
Once upon a December

Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory

Far away, long ago
Glowing dim an as ember
Things my heart
Used to know
Things it yearns to remember

And a song
Someone sings
Once upon a December

Maria Nicholaievna / Re: Falling Down?
« on: November 25, 2008, 12:19:45 PM »
I remember reading somewhere that OTMA had snuck into their father's office once, and when they heard him coming Olga and Tatiana started to lower Maria off a balcony. When they heard their father coming they dropped her and she got rather bruised up.

Hi! I've been on the forum for 4 or 5 months but I just found this thread!
I'm in sixth grade, and have been a Romanov nut since I was 5 or 6.

I think that Nicholas knew he would probably be killed. I read somewhere that his hair turned almost completely gray, and in pictures he looks much older than his real age. As someone mentioned about Tatiana earlier he looked like he had just given up.

Having Fun! / Re: Do you know anybody that hates the Romanovs

My BFF didn't like( I wouldn't call it hate) the Romanovs, but she does now that she understands what really happened.
Clockworkgirl, one of the reasons your friend might not like the Romanovs if she believes what she does is because of Alexei's illness.

The Final Chapter / Re: should anastasia and her siberlings have died

None of NAOTMAA should have died. But that's the world we live in and it's just getting worse.

Having Fun! / Anastasia Movie game!
« on: November 24, 2008, 10:25:50 AM »
The way this works is that I'll write about something from the movie. If it's true, just say true. If it's false, say what really happened. first person to answer asks the next question.

First problem:
MF gave Anastasia a music box when she was 5 to make it easier when she went back to france.

Did Alexandra take drugs? If so, what?

People v. Nicholas II Alexandrovich / Re: were the romanovs actions wrong?

CorisCapnSkip, you made a very good point. But Vallath, the Tzar may not have known what was going on completely. He had to know that there was some suffering, but he may not have known the big picture. He showed so much love and compassion to his own children and the children of other people in his life that I can't believe he would deliberately kill one child.

The Final Chapter / Re: no survivors - sad
« on: November 20, 2008, 12:51:41 PM »
When I was younger(7 or 8), and read about Anna Anderson I was extremely upset. Here is my diary entry the day I finished the book:

"I just read a book on a so-called survivor from the imperial family. It's terrible how she claimed to be Anastasia. If she was she'd be upset, not trying to claim the Romanov money. I don't think Anastasia would ever get over her family's murder.

(I was a very opinionated 7 year old)
