Incidently, FA, your unnecessary elevated level of perverted hysteria shouldn't surprise anyone who has tried to participate an innocent comment on this website. I couldn't care less what you do with my so-called ' membership ' if an innocent comment can incur such a hysterical tirade. JonC.

Obviously, FA, I'm sorry, but you have completely over reacted to my comment. I guess its because it wasn't complete - my fault. My reaction had nothing to do with the validity of the results. Her results on my samples were perfect. I have always maintained that the results released by the Gill team were correct for the samples they were given. My comment concerned an agreement she and I had which has nothing to do with you or anyone else on this site. I was referring to that agreement in my comment of which of course you had no idea of - my fault for my poorly worded comment.

In any event I would not have made that comment as per Greg King's info that Dr. Melton analyzed only the AA samples and NOT those of the Koptyaki forest as you stated. Thanks Mr. King for answering my initial question. JonC..

Thanks FA, for your reply.

When she did the samples for us she promised impartiality - now I realize she should not have undertaken her analysis of our samples because of her obvious conflict of interest. Thanks, JonC.

I STILL stand by my original offer that anyone who can produce a paper from a peer review journal, written by a scientist trained in the field of forensic dna analysis which shows why the original testing by Gill, Melton, et al, is no longer reliable, I will publish said paper myself here in the Alexander Palace Time Machine  website and will modify my position on the subject.

Dear FA.

I'm not questioning the validity of any test you mention here. I'm not interested in AA or her history. I would like for you to clarify for me exactly who Gill and Melton tested here in the point you are making. Was it AA or the Imperial Family? I take it to be the Family. If so, I wasn't aware that Dr.Terry Melton was one of the original scientists invited to do the testing on the first bone examinations of the IF. In fact, I don't remember her ever mentioning, in my conversations with her, that she had ever said that she had actually worked on the samples. I am not, by this questioning of your statement, trying to prove you wrong or right about your statement, I simply want to know for myself if in fact she actually did work on the original samples with Gill, the DOD, and Maples, etc. Thanks, JonC.

Lisa, I understand where euphoria could over power reasonable thinking, especially when it comes to Anna A etc,. What, though, is the thinking of the Church? Church authorities are pretty adamant that a scar has to be there - to the point that they are making its resolve a condition for them to finally accept the buried bodies, at the Peter and Paul Cathedral, to be the Royal Family's. How can they be made to accept that, as you say, a scar doesn't necessarily need to be there?
And, if all the DNA facts are there, why are they continuing to refuse to accept the findings if this scar thing can't be proved? JonC.

Whose euphoria would that be, JonC? If you're referring to me - I have been kept informed about tests on the Ekaterinburg remains for many years. I have yet to get euphoric! For your information, I am one of several historians who have seriously studied the AA case as well as the stories of perhaps a dozen claimants with an open mind and very reasonable thinking. After years of study, I am of the opinion that the IF died together that night. I have no agenda to prove, no tickets to sell, and if someone can come up with a plausible survivor story that includes the DNA tests already done, I am one of few people who would listen.

As I am not Orthodox nor Russian, I have no insights into the thinking of the Church. But, I am disturbed that they are trying to wantonly destroy the Pig's Meadow burial site because they think the family was permantently buried at the 4 Brothers. I would never advocate destroying either site. I wonder, what are they afriad of? And why do they irrationally insist on asking for proof that it has been medically established could not exist? It's as though they're withholding approval until I can prove I have a Y chromosone? I have been assured by all the teams of scientists that the DNA tests for all the victims is there.

The only way I know todeal with irrationaity is with rationality. Now, what is your agenda here, Jon C?

I'm sorry, Lisa, I missed your reply. I've always noted your opinions as very straight forward and scholarly honest. I don't for a second think otherwise. I was referring to those who aren't as astute and simply follow on with ridiculous assumptions. No-one in particular, of course. As to my agenda, here on this site, is nothing at all but a sharing of information. Overall, to finally prove that Mr. LoPresti's claim is true BUT, rest assured, I respect the position of this website not to discuss his claims. I believe I have done that. Your ' Y Chromosome ' remark is a jab at me, obviously, but you needn't be angry since your position is assured by your ' teams of scientists ' as you say. Nevertheless I will continue with the new discovery. Peace, and good will to you, fair Lisa. JonC.

And yet, Lisa, has there ever been given, by anyone, even by those ' bi wigs ' above BY that you mentioned, a reason as to why the Ipatiev House had to be razed to the ground effectively burying all and any forensic material with it? It has always amazed me how no-one can admit to a cover-up by those so-called Russian govt., ' big wigs '. JonC.

Dear Lisa, the question of just who the imposter(s) are is still arguable in my mind. In all fairness to me I did warn Richard and others NOT to talk about this topic on this forum because of the policy you mention. JonC.

You are
I've noticed lately that those people who refuse to accept the DNA analysis done by the Russian/British scientists as legitimate point to some conspiracy conducted by the Russian government. Look at the bottom of that website JonC where the webhost says "[...] so that everyone who has a voice can express their outrage on the Russian government for continuing to hide the truth." Why would they need to hide the truth? The Russian government has no problem meeting with Maria Vladimirovna and her family, or Nicholas Romanov and his family.

This particular case strikes me as being absurd than most others. Claiming that the Empress herself survived is rather absurd - why didn't she contact her family? Why didn't she contact the other surviving Romanov's?

Also, could anyone explain the conspiracy theorist line that the Russian government has something to hide?

edit: JonC that site is ridiculous. Check this photo ( ), the website claims that this is a photo of his grandfather "Emanuele" with Kaiser Wilhelm II... that's laughable. That man is not kaiser wilhelm.

As I said, discussions are not allowed about Mr. LoPresti. You make unqualified statements about how ' ridiculous ' his site is. So I'm compelled to reply. First of all the Russian govt., ingratiates Maria because she isn't of Nicholas 2nd's line or of any Pauline legitimate line. Eliminating the legitimate line with bones collected in an unscientific, contaminated way which no court on earth could or would consider valid IF it were ever taken to court was the only way the Russian, American and British govts., could collude together in order to establish democracy in opinion of course....These governments needed to have Russia to grow and move on with freedom and democracy. Eliminating the Romanov issue from the minds of the Russian people was a valiant effort in order to free Russians from their historical capacity to be subservient to totalitarianism, and also, on the other hand, to rebuild the palaces and Romanov imagery so that Russians could be proud of their history, creating a foundation for a new world and a new hope for the future.

All this, though, doesn't take away the reality that the Royal Family could still have survived as Mr. LoPresti is trying to prove even now with his ' Y Chromosome ' analysis. Sorry if this offends anyone but I have an open mind about this and am eagerly awaiting the results. JonC.

This isn't a great quality image, but it looks for all the world as if his hair's been recently buzzed -- no widow's peak, IMO:

Also, this was taken in the summer of 1917:

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be contesting but in the bottom photo I do see a widow's peak. The top photo and others on this page are just too fuzzy to make out. JonC.

Thanks for looking. I hope someone finds a clear photo of his forehead with his hair combed back. JonC.

Yes, I'm sorry for the spelling. I guess you didn't know the answer.

I don't know if this question has been asked before but did Alexei have a widow's beak hairline on his forehead? JonC.

" that there are no direct descendants of the Anointed line of Nicholas 2nd himself which makes the Pauline laws null and void. Of course , again, I'm NOT one who holds such a conviction. JonC.  "

Share your thoughts with us JonC.
Which child survived to give us direct descendants?

Well, discussions of ' Joseph LoPresti's ' claims have been prohibited on this forum for years but I think I can give you a link to his web page which will clue you in on what he claims.

' '

Presently, to update, a ' Y Chromosome ' analysis is in the works on the male descendants from who he has claimed to be Alexie, who are still alive or else he has to exhume his grandmother, Josephine, who he claims to be ' Anastasia '. I'm sure that will put an end of sorts. Either that his claim is true or that it is false because if the analysis proves a match it has to be true, grouped with his other documentation and photographs. Also how likely would it be that Tsar Nicholas 2nd would have children other than OTMA running around the world. JonC.

Or even live, Goverment is in Moscow.
I think you are making a statement just to post something.

I was actually being facetious. Of course the Alexander Palace could, at this stage, only be a tourist attraction, BUT, my point, for the more astute, was that because of all this effort to restore Monarchical imagery and history must be for the possible restoration of the Russian Monarchy. My playful mention of Putin announcing himself as the new Tsar, although possible, was to show how ridiculous the notion that a Romanov would be selected since the belief by almost all - me NOT being one of them - that there are no direct descendants of the Anointed line of Nicholas 2nd himself which makes the Pauline laws null and void. Of course , again, I'm NOT one who holds such a conviction. JonC.

:)Yes, of course you may have a mintie!

They are so good to have when chewing things over!

One thing to "bear" in mind for Russia is to also consider the following wise words by Manly B. Halll, written quite some time ago, regarding the ancient symbol of the two headed eagle. I have heard this symbol as being discussed as being part of ancient byzantinium times...

So here is something to think about when chewing on your minties!

Here is depicted the Supreme Hierophant, Master of the double Holy Empire of the superior and the inferior universe. The ancient emblem of equlibrium consisted of an androgynous body surmounted by two heads, one male and the other female, wearing a single imperial crown. That being alone is perfect in which all opposites are reconciled, and this state of perfection is appropriately typified by the two heads of equal dignity. Hence the double-headed eagle is reserved as the emblem of completion, for it signifies the Philosopher's Stone, the ultimate soul condition, and that absolute and transcended perfection which arises only from the fullest unfoldment of the latent potentialities within the individual. Philosophocally, the thirty-third degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite represents the innermost sanctuary of the Masonic mysticism. If the double-headed eagle, the symbol of the sublime degree,
were endowed with the power of speech, it would say:

"Only he may wear me in whom there is no guile in whom all passion has been transmuted to compassion, all natural ingnorance into divine wisdom, all selfishness into selflessness; for I am an ancient and a sacred emblem of all greatness, all perfection, and all truth. I represent a spiritual condition, a mental attitude, a physical state attained only by the elect of earth. I am the symbol of the illumined and transfigured soul which has been born again and has approached the throne of Divinity. I am the symbol of the gatekeeper, for with one face I behold the radiant countenance of my Creator and with the other the expanse of the universe which He has fashioned. Upon my strong pinions of intuition and reason men have ascended to a position betwixt heaven and earth. He is whom I spread my wings is more than a man yet less than a god; therefore he is a god-man. I clutch between my talons the flaming cherubimic sword; the flaming spirit-fire with which the miracle of my existence was wrought. I am the symbol of the Initiator who through the ages carries Ganymedes in to the prescence of the gods upon his back."

Margarita I agree with you and, Tutsi is a sly one indeed!! The double headed eagle symbol almost exactly like the Romanov symbol has been in use by ' The Order Of Malta ', I believe since AD 1087, and taken over especially by the ' Free Masons '. Instead of St George slaying the dragon they have replaced that image with a large white Maltese Cross. I was shocked when I saw it earlier today during my research of The Nights Templars and the Jesuit order...scary stuff indeed..especially the oath they took devoting themselves entirely for the protection of the Pope. If you think the Muslims are crazy blowing themselves up well I hope no-one unleashes these guys. Freemasonry promotes the worship of any god clearly differing with the Biblical command to worship only the Creator, Sovereign Lord and God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. Tutsi should be more revealing of his true beliefs. JonC.
