I found it interesting that Olga's diary was full of references to her mother's health, whereas that comes more rarely into Tatiana's diary.
I just received my copy of the book this week and couldn't put it down!

.. test Alexanders remains - so why not subject them all to the most rigorous testing possible , not just to establish their identity again , but to fully explore their genomes and wring as much information out of them as possible, while you have the final chance - they are of huge historical importance after all...
They closely examined the tomb and it was not opened at any point prior. Alexander III is in there and there is no question. This was settled weeks ago.

I guess there are tons more letters and diaries in the GARF yet to be translated and published? Probably lots of photos unseen, too, do you have another book in the wings after this one?
LOL not even got it yet and already asking for more, can't help it, its just so neat there are more things yet to be discovered in GARF, i'd be like a kid in a candy store if i could read russian![]()
