Having Fun! / New Anastasia movie coming out this year.
« on: March 28, 2018, 10:29:23 AM »
So today I learned there is a new movie about Anastasia coming out some time this year or next year. At first i was so excited "yes! A new romanov movie!!" ........then I went to the IG for this movie. And No....It's not looking good. A Tzar Nicholas with out a beard?? And for some reason all the uniforms have fur all over them??? Why?!

The plot is that Anastasia escaped the execution....through a portal to the 80's.  The Instagram is just Anastasia movie. I'm on my phone or i would link a picture of the cast.

I mean I might watch it just for laughs but, why not at least try to look more historically accurate?!?!

Nicholas II / Question from my Uncle about Nicholas.
« on: October 11, 2016, 01:24:37 PM »
Hey all, My Uncle Rick has a question about something he thinks he read in "Nicholas and Alexandra" this is what he asked me "I recall a story where the Tsar had his mail censored so to speak, all he got was positive letters just had to do with probably going back to the war with Japan or revolutionaries as they began in the early 1900s leading up to the World War I" Anyone know the truth to this? its been so long since I read it that I can't remember!

Having Fun! / Last Words Of Royals
« on: October 05, 2009, 02:00:16 PM »
So, for the last week or so I have been reading up on famous last words and while I was I found a few Kings and Queens, and just thought it was interesting and would share them...sorry if this was a stupid idea or something! or if the quotes are wrong!

A King should die standing.
~~ Louis XVIII, King of France, d. 1824

Why do you weep. Did you think I was immortal?
~~ Louis XIV, King of France, d. 1715

I am a Queen, but I have not the power to move my arms.
~~ Louise, Queen of Prussia, d. 1820

All is lost. Monks, monks, monks!
~~ Henry VIII, King of England, d. 1547

No, I shall not give in. I shall go on. I shall work to the end.
~~ Edward VII, King of Britain, d. 1910

All my possessions for a moment of time.
~~ Elizabeth I, Queen of England, d. 1603

Oh! And my favorite non-royals last words

Either that wallpaper goes, or I do.
~~ Oscar Wilde, writer, d. November 30, 1900

Go on, get out - last words are for fools who haven't said enough.
(To his housekeeper, who urged him to tell her his last words so she could write them down for posterity.)
~~ Karl Marx, revolutionary, d. 1883

Friends applaud, the comedy is finished.
~~ Ludwig van Beethoven, composer, d. March 26, 1827

Anyone else have any?

« on: December 06, 2007, 11:05:41 AM »
I'm looking for some of Alexei's letters for a Alexei Video I'm working on (I'm using a song called "Letters from War"). Dose anybody have any from when he was with his father at the war camp? (or whatever it was, can't remember!)...but are there any to his mother or sisters?

Thanks,

Having Fun! / Back to you. (a story by me!)
« on: August 26, 2007, 03:08:15 PM »
A part of me thought it was just a dream, but the other part knew the truth. This was real, and there is no way out. I closed my eyes and tried to remember better days. When I was dressed in lovely dresses and not rags. When my family was alive and together. Not dead and apart. When I lived it a big palace. Not in a small room of the maid I had become. How has it come to this? I knew who I was, but not a sole who met me knew my name. I was just that girl and the maid. When will they learn? Who I once was? I was not the same person I was before I came here. My hair had grown back but not as long as it was when I was young, it now came to my shoulders but it was always up in a bun. And my blue eyes were dull. And full of sadness. What would my sisters and brother say if they saw me now? I'm nothing like what they knew me. I don't feel like me... I opened my eyes, and looked at the room I was in. it was small, with only a bed and a dresser in it. My old room at the palace was 4 or 5 times bigger then this. Even the room in Yekaterinburg where my sisters and I had slept was bigger.

But do you know me? No of course you don't. And now you are talking to your self...but who else do I have to talk to? The people I worked for? Or one of their children? No, no. never. I can not tell them.

2 years....had it really been that long? Since I had seen or talked to my family? And were they really all dead? Was one of them out there somewhere looking for me? Or did they think I was dead? Were they all together? All but me? Not knowing where I was? And what were they doing? Were they looking for me? Like I had looked for them? I could only hope.

"Ann! I need you in the sitting room!" yes that's what they call me, Ann such a plain name. I sighed, and then stood up. I straightened my black floor length maids dress.

"I'm coming miss!" I yelled back. Quickly I walked down the hall to the sitting room. Mrs. Natalya Alexandrovna Vólkova was in her last 30’s. She wore her black hair up in a bun like Mama always did. She wore a long green Victorian dress. I had been working for the Vólkov’s since Mr. Vólkov had found me in Yekaterinburg, I was “half dead” he had said. When I walked into the room, Mrs. Vólkova sitting in her chair by the window.

“Yes, Miss?” I asked she looked up as I spoke.
“We are having a family over for dinner. And I want the house clean before they get here. And the two gust rooms need straightened, for they will be staying the night. Is that clear?” She said
“Yes Miss” I replied “I’ll get right on it”
“Good. Now go away!” She waved her hand as a sign I should leave. I nodded my head and turned to leave the room.
“Oh and Ann?” said Mrs. Vólkova. I stopped walking and turned back to her.
“Yes?”
“They will be here in an hour” My eyes widened and I quickly walked out of the room, and I walked in to the Kitchen. The cook, Ella, a small and plump woman with red hair, was running about the room cooking. And the other maid, Resa, was helping. I walked over to the cleaning closet and pulled out what I’d need to clean the house and rooms.
“Ella?” The woman looked up at me without stopping what she was doing.
“What is it Ann?” Ella asked. Ella was a vary kind woman, in her late 40’s. And had been working for the family since the family’s eldest Son, John who was 14, was born.
“Who is coming for Dinner?” I asked. Resa looked up from the other side of the room. Our eyes met briefly before both of our eyes went back to Ella. Resa was the same age as me, 20. Her blonde hair was pulled up to. And her green eyes stood out from her pale skin.
“I wasn’t told who, dear. Only that he was a vary important man. And the he was bringing his wife and their four children. That’s all I know!” she said. Then looked back to her work.
“Resa?” I asked “have you heard anything?” Resa shook her head. Then looked back at the pot she was mixing.
“I’m sorry Ann” she said when her back was turned “but if I do, you’ll be the first to know!” I picked up a bucket and some other things I’d need and started for the door.
“Thank you Resa” then I walked out.

Having Fun! / Re: PAST LIFE? OR COINCIDENCE?
« on: May 17, 2007, 10:23:28 AM »
Hello everyone...tell me if this is weird or not.

about a week ago I had this dream about the Romanov's and they were speaking Russian (of course I didn't know that then) in the dream I was Anastasia and I could understand, at the time, what I called "gibberish" I knew everything they said(In the dream, but when I woke up I couldn't remember) and then the other day I was listening to "God save the Tsar" in Russian and it hit me that that's what I had been speaking in my dream! and ever since then I've had all these dreams (some in English and some in Russian) about the Romanov's lives! like at Dacha and Alexander Palace and The Standart...and I am JUST like Anastasia! I even look a little like her (blue eyes dark blond hair, face shape a little) sometime's I feel like we are connected or I am her.....am I weird? lol last night I had a dream that I was talking to the tsar and (as always I was Anastasia) we were watching Alyosha play on the Standart and laughing at the funny thing he would do...and I was calling Nicholas "papa" it was really odd...

I may have had these dreams cuz the Romanov are sometimes the last thing I think about before I fall asleep (some time I'm not thinking about them and I'll still have one) is this odd....to feel like I am Anastasia?

I've felt like I was connected to her (or am her) for some time now we have always seem to click, you know? when I first started reading about her,  I felt as if I already knew all that was in the book...even if I knew I'd never read the book before. please help me know if I'm crazy or not....is this weird to you all too?
