Films and TV shows about the Romanovs and Imperial Russia / New National Geographic Show - 'Romanovs: The Missing Bodies'

Did anyone catch The Romanovs: The Missing Bodies last night (Friday, 17/04/09) on National Geographic?? This was a UK showing - not sure when it was/will be aired in the US and other regional NG channels...

If not, I don't think you missed much: it was just a re-hash of their previous programmes with a couple of new clips... Might be worth a look when the repeat comes round though!

The Final Chapter / Annual event in Ekaterinburg?

While I was on holiday, I saw an article on BBC World about the Russian Orthodox Church and politics in Russia and they showed a big event in Ekaterinburg in front of the Church on the Blood in memory of the execution of the Imperial Family. I think it was running from about 12th - 25th July...

Anybody have any info on it? A website or photos prehaps? Will it be happening next year too for the 90th ann.??

Nicholas II / Telegram from Nikolai to Albert I

Heya!
I recently went to Brussels, and while going around the Bellevue! museum, I found this telegram from Tsar Nikolai II that he sent to Albert I of Belgium upon the occupation of his country.

I believe it reads something along the lines of,

With a sentiment of sincere admiration for the valliant Belgian Army. I pray your Majesty to believe my cordial [warm-hearted] sympathy and to accept my congratulations on the success of this heroic conflict for the independence of your country.

Maria Nicholaievna / Maria's Baby Photos

Heya Everyone
I was just wondering if anyone had any photos of Maria Nikolaevna Romanov, just after her birth. All I can seem to find are ones from 1900 onwards, and she seems to be the only one of OTMAA that didn't have photos taken of her when she was a newborn.
Can anoyone help?

Tatiana Nicholaievna / Tatiana in "Nicholas and Alexandra"

Heya everyone
I just got the DVD of "Nicholas and Alexandra" for Christmas and I was watching it yesterday. There is a scene whe they are imprisoned in Ekaterinburg, where a guard walks into OTMA's room. I was shocked that Tatiana suddenly revealed her chest to the guard, without any reasoning!

I would have never expected this of her! And I have never heard of such an occurance!!
Does anyone know if any such thing happened? Or are the makers just making things up?... again

Forum Announcements / "OTMA" A Screenplay

:)Heya, my name is Sarastasia - well Sara!

You may have seen me dotted amongst various postings.
Anyway, at the moment I'm writing a screenplay entitled "OTMA" and it portrays the last part of OTMA's lives, 1914 to 1918 to be precise.
Does anyone know how I could get my screenplay looked at by someone who could take it further to actually being produced? Because, after all, the most important thing for me out of this is that the world knows about OTMA and the last of the Romanovs; their struggle and their tragedy. Not my fame at all.

Your comments and replies would be much appreciated!

I was just wondering on people's different views or what they've heard about how NAOTMAA were actually killed. It's widely known they were shot, but this leads to many other theories and discrepancies.
