Can someone please explain the Russian money system to me during Nicholas II time?  If this has been discussed elsewhere, can you please give me a link?  I didn't know where to find this topic if it was discussed.  Thanks!

How old did the men in Russia have to be to join the military during Nicolas' time?  Was it 18 like it is in most places?

The Tudors / The Tudors on DVD?

Since this is the Tudors page.... Does anyone know when The Tudors will be out on DVD?  I don't have Showtime and I'm dying to watch the series.  I got a free copy of the first 2 episodes at Best Buy and I instantly fell in love.

Films and TV shows about the Romanovs and Imperial Russia / What About the Fictional Book "White Russian" as a Movie?

I think "The White Russian" would make an excellent movie (I don't think it's been talked about on this board as a movie has it ).  The Romanovs are in it briefly, but still a great book nonetheless.  When I read it it played like a movie in my head, what with all the action and fighting and traveling around.  I'm not sure what actors can play what parts.  Does anyone else have any interesting ideas?  I see James McAvoy as the lead character, even though he might be a bit too young to do it right now, or maybe even Jason Issacs.
