During the late 19th century and early 20th century, European royalty started sponsoring charities.  (Please correct me if I'm wrong).  Since haemophilia was in most of the royal families descended from queen Victoria (English, German, Russian, Spanish, etc...) did any of the royals start/give any money to charities for haemophilia?  Were there any charities for haemophilia back then, international or national?  And did Alix know of about any of these and donate to them?  We already know about her charity bazaars and knitting circles during the Russian-Japanese War and WWI, so why wouldn't she have supported haemophilia charities?

Their World and Culture / Non-Orthodox Religious Buildings in Russia

Hi!  Even though I find Russian Orthodox churches very beautiful; I'm very curious about the non-Russian Orthodox religious buildings in Russia that were built during imperial Russia and are still standing today.  Specifically, in Saint Petersburg, but they can be in other locations as well.  (I'm mostly interested in Anglican and Roman Catholic churches along with Buddhist temples.)  Jewish synagouges (sp?) and Muslim mosques are welcome as well!  On wikipedia I just got a few Anglican and Roman Catholic churches located in Moscow, not the Saint Petersburg area.  I didn't know where to put this question, so feel free to move this question to its appropriate place.
