Russian Noble Families / Golovachev
« on: February 14, 2024, 07:19:44 AM »
The Golovachev family was an old Russian noble family but they did not have a coat of arms. It seems they did not only live in Saint Petersburg but also in Tver region of Russia. I have researched back to Zakhar Alexeievich Golovachev who lived from 1782 to 1837. I have not found his manor or the area where he lived. I am new to Russian provinisial nobility. Do you know how to research that? What I have understood is that there should exist genealogical books for that kind of research. The Golovachev seems to be in the VI volume of Genealogical books of Tver province. What book is this? I have no idea what I am searching for.

Where was Galitzino located? It was located 100 versts from Saint Petersburg. It might thus have been somewhere in modern day Leningrad oblast. I do not find that place on a map of today. Do anyone here now this location?

Imperial Succession and the Throne / Bagration-Moukhransky
« on: March 06, 2020, 05:17:14 PM »
Her Highness Princess Tatiana Constantinovna of Russia was married morganatically in her first marriage at Pavlovsk Palace in southern Saint Petersburg 24 August 1911. She married with the Russian noble Prince Constantine Alexandrovitch Bagration-Moukhransky. She continued to be a member of the Russian Imperial Family after this wedding. He was not a member of the Imperial Family of Russia. Children born out of this marriage were not in line of succession to the Imperial House of Russia. My question now is therefore why the marriage between His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovitch of Russia and Princess Leonida Bagration-Moukhransky would be equal in Lausanne 13 August 1948 so almost 37 years later? Would this not mean similarily that the child born out of this marriage Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia would not be in line of succession to the Imperial House of Russia? What makes Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia position legit?

Imperial Succession and the Throne / Prince Andrew Romanov
« on: October 31, 2018, 05:47:19 AM »
The sovereign imperial house of Russia is extinct. This as there are no living persons today born from parents of equal birth. At the same time Prince Andrew Romanov is a claimant to the headship of the House of Romanov. What do you think about that? He is not even the President of the Romanov Family Association. That position is instead held by Princess Olga Romanoff. I see his claim to be very weak. He is not actively work to pretend the Russian throne. To a large extent because of his very high age of 95 years.

The Russian Princely family Lopukhin-Demidov of the House of Demidov still exist today. I do not understand why Grand Duchess MARIA of Russia has marked this family extinct here: http://geroldia.ru/?lang=rus&id=22. His Serene Highness The 4th Prince Lopukhin-Demidov is Onni Demidoff. He is a Finn born in Helsinki 23 April 1936 and still live here in Helsinki and Finland.
