The Hohenzollern / Hohenzollern Fortune
« on: January 27, 2012, 10:11:53 AM »
Not quite sure about the fortune owned by the family. After the fall of the Kaiser, the property of the family had not been publicly documented. I read on the thread on Grand Duchess Maria that her son, who was born of a Hohenzollern father may be eligible for the Hohenzollern family fund, which is paid to its members. I wonder how big the fund is and does it like other aristocratic families including land holdings ?

Mediatized Noble Families / Thurn und Taxis, the younger line
« on: November 29, 2005, 11:46:27 AM »

I read from books on Sisi that one of her ladies-in-waiting came from the House of Thurn & Taxis. She was called Helene like Sisi's elder sister, so there was quite confusing to trace which is which. I found out that Princess Helene Von Taxis was a distant cousin of Sisi's husband Furst Maximilan. I also heard she married a Count Kinsky and later retired. Any info on this royal lady ?

Thanks for the pics and info !

Before the WW II, there are quite a lot of pictures and info about Wooley. However once the war came, she was cut off from the rest of the family. From David Balfour's book on Prince Paul of Yugoslavia. He saw his sister-in-law after the war, and said it was heart-breaking to see that lovely creature come to this.

However we have no photos of her last years unlike her sisters Marina & Olga.
