The Imperial Family / Plaque to commemorate Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna

The Riverdale Historical Society (Toronto, Canada) has announced they will erect a plaque next fall at the site where Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna died in 1960. 

After emigrating to Canada in 1948, the Grand Duchess lived in a small farmhouse in Cooksville, outside Toronto.  After the death of her husband, and in failing health, she lived with a family of Russian emigrés in a small apartment above a hair salon in Toronto at 716 Gerard Street East where the plaque will be installed.

Palaces in St. Petersburg / Your visits to St Petersburg, advices and pictures

I will be visiting Russia this summer, and have been reading and searching the Internet seeking information about visiting the Romanov palaces (specifically Tsarkoye Selo, Pavlovsk and Peterhof).  The information is somewhat confusing.  In some places, one reads that the only way to gain access to the palaces is with a tour guide or a group.  Other places seem to indicate that all one needs is obtain a ticket at the ticket office and go in.

Would anyone who has visited these palaces recently be able to share their experience and provide some advice?
