Having Fun! / Book Writing!
« on: November 22, 2011, 06:37:04 PM »
My Sister Fox and I are writing a book on Jack Phillips from the Titanic. Does anyone have writing or publishing pointers? Thanks!

Hey guys! My family just adopted a Springer Spaniel from a man that was going to shoot him. He's black and white, not liver, but he reminds me of Joy. Do you guys know Joys name in Russian? It started with a "D" but on Google translate it's a "C".

Having Fun! / Luitpold book! Help needed!
« on: July 20, 2011, 08:45:46 PM »
I'm considering writing a fictional book on Prince Luitpold, but since the thread on him is a tad light, I was wondering if anyone could help me with his actions, and critique..... Thanks!

Tsarevich Alexei Nicholaievich / Alexei painting reference
« on: July 12, 2011, 11:03:00 AM »
Hey guys! I'm back! I've picked up painting just a while ago, and although I have no hand for it, I have heart. I would love to paint a picture of the Tsarevich, but I'm having difficulty finding a high quality photo that has yet to be painted. So I call on you, brethren of the forum :) in hopes that you can help. All help is appreciated! I thank you you all, and hope that I'm no burden!!!! Thanks!

Sorry if I don't choose your idea! :C

What I'm looking for (but anything other is fine too! And if you have some that you would like to see done, let me know! I would love to see the ideas!)

-High Quality (REALLY HIGH QUALITY!!!! Lol have to be able to see features)
-Preferably by his self or one other person or animal (perhaps small, because, I kinda suck at painting elaborate stuff)
-Something that hasn't been painted before

Anything else would be fine! Thanks! May God keep you!!!!

Is it possible to become one, and how? What type of schooling, and where can you work?

Books about the Romanovs and Imperial Russia / Alexei in Blood +?
« on: September 11, 2010, 10:10:34 PM »
My sister stumbled upon this manga called Blood +, and it's about Vampires. The Romanovs are included in it and you can read it on Amazon, but I was wondering if anyone else knew about this? His character is very dense, stereotypical and quite obtuse in my opinion.

Tsarevich Alexei Nicholaievich / Is this quotation true?
« on: August 29, 2010, 10:58:15 AM »
In the book, "Curse of the Romanovs" by Staton Rabin, there's a quotation that I think might be from "Thirteen years at the Russian Court" by Pierre Gilliard. I know that this book lacks correct Historical preferences, but the Author said that all the real quotes were in Italic. Here's the quote/conversation between Alexei and Gilliard:

           "Gilliard, is my family cursed?"
"What nonsense! Where do you get such silly ideas?"
"Gleb told me. He said Mama came to Russia walking behind Grandpa Sasha's coffin, and brings us bad luck.
And on the day Mama and Papa were crowned, everyone rushed in for free souvenir mugs. A thousand
peasants got crushed to death. Like ants!"
"And what did you say when Gleb told you this?"
            "Nothing. I punched him."
"Alexei! You are older than Gleb, bigger than he is. What would your Mother say?"
"I know what Papa would say. He would say 'Good for you!'"

Also did Alexei call Gilliard, "Zhillie?"

Sorry for being Naive, but we're all learning here.

Having Fun! / Romanov comic

I just love doing threads that bring fans together! Let's all do a comic together! We each draw one panel at a time (or more) and see where our story goes! It doesn't have to be colored, you don't have to be an artist and I don't mind if it's not historically correct. Ask me any questions! I'll start the comic off.

Having Fun! / We should make a Romanov Video Game
« on: August 26, 2010, 06:08:05 PM »
Thanks to these forums people come together, and we all have different talents and such. Wouldn't it be cool (if possible) to make a historically correct video game, or just write how it would be like.

Example, if I were making this game I'd start it off with a brief slideshow Historical thing about the family, then you can play and talk to anyone of NAOTMAA and/if/or their tutors around the palace. You do small tasks like, take a photo, find a doll etc. And at the end of every level, you receive a photo of the family from the year you are playing. And the game will eventually end (after going through series of historical events) at the Ipateiv House.

I can just imagine, if you play Alexei, he can only run into so many things before he gets bruised. There can be a level of Anastasia trying to get him into a crowd and what not.

Well I don't mean that this should become real, I just hope it would. But in the mean time, lets just imagine it!

I would name it The fate of the Romanovs or something like that.

Having Fun! / Who looks looks like the Romanovs?
« on: August 19, 2010, 07:50:19 PM »
It could be you or your friend, or maybe even a celebrity. I just want to know if I'm the only one noticing some similarities in today's generation that reminds us of everyone's favorite Romanov family. Even I look like Tatiana!

Hi I was wondering, am I allowed to post anything on my site from here? Like pictures? If I source them? Example, like adding the name of the person who I got it from? I've already stated that I don't own anything
