not exactly Russian Roots, but I'm looking for information about my maternal Grandparents.
my Grandfather, born in 1919 near Rivne, went to school there(although it's disputable whether he went there under the name I knew) & then studied for a year at the University/University of Technology in Warsaw(in 1938) & once the war started-at the University in Lviv. I have a question whether it's possible that the Universities store somewhere documents from that time-I'm especially thinking about the University in Lviv. also where possibly could be some documents regarding the family(ie. church records)
my Grandmother-born in 1921 as a daughter of some Orthodox Church clergymen, generally in similar aeria as my Grandfather; is there a chance that the Church records have survived the war & communism & are somewhere avaiable?
also as far as I know her family had been deported by Russians & sent to Syberia; is this possible to find some records about it? did Russian kept track of who were they sending?
