The Windsors / Re: Princess Diana - Part 2
« on: October 09, 2017, 10:28:18 PM »
I would go further and say that Diana was entirely a manufactured beauty. when she first came to public notice, she was a pleasant-looking, but entirely ordinary girl.

What utter nonsense is THIS?  An entirely manufactured beauty?  Kim Kardashian is "an entirely manufactured beauty" - artificially and surgically altered from head to foot and virtually unrecognisable from old photos.  Diana had none of this.  She wore discreet and tasteful make-up and needed little of it because of her natural good skin and colouring.  About the only enhancements she used were hair dye and a tanning bed - not unusual for any young woman, particularly back then, let alone one who was in the spotlight and under critical scrutiny at all times.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are expecting their first child in April 2016.

How would Carl Phillip and Sofia be able to stop who Madeleine and her husband wanted for their child's godparent though?

Why is it so tiny?  It's a long time since I've posted a photo, I've forgotten how to do it properly!  Anyway, get zooming and ENJOY!  I will work on doing better next time or just providing a link.

Yes!  There were two books released in 1974, about the time the TV series was originally shown.  The author was David Butler (who co-wrote the miniseries with John Gorrie).  They are titled Edward the Seventh: Prince of Hearts and Edward the Seventh: The Peacemaker.  The publisher was Futura Publications Limited.

Maybe you could get them through Bookfinder or similar?  :)

That is indeed good news for the couple!  I'm really pleased!

It will especially mean less pressure on Charlene.  Hopefully, all goes well and a healthy child will be born.

Marc, thanks for posting that beautiful photo of Alexandra in the yellow gown, but are you sure it's from as far back as 1960?  She looks older than 23-24 here and appears to be wearing engagement/wedding rings.  Just querying... :)

But it's that uncomfortable and ever increasing royals/celebrity connection which is only reinforced by such deals and makes the public resentful about them cashing in, in my view.  It would have perhaps been acceptable had they donated their fee to charity but there is no mention of that.

They probably wanted to avoid photographers once the news got out.  It's the Queen's granddaughter...she's hardly going to be left without help at home should she need it...medical or otherwise.

How does this man think seeing Princess Margaret's sealed will is going to help his case?  Surely only DNA testing would prove his claims and as if anyone from the Royal Family is going to provide that!

Charlotte Casiraghi (daughter of HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover) and her partner Gad Elmaleh, a Moroccan/French actor/comedian, have become parents to a son named Raphael, born on December 17 in Monaco.

Hi there and welcome.

If you are interested in Eddy, you will enjoy this book!  I think I have seen the majority of photos of him that are out there, but there is one rare photo I've never seen of him with Helene, so that is a treat in itself.  Eddy's letters, while giving no huge secrets away about him or his relationship with Helene, do reveal a lot about his personality.  I was struck by how chatty he was, how self-deprecating and how frank with his personal feelings.

I haven't yet read it cover to cover but I'm sure you'll be glad to own it!

Rubbish!  They were never known as that at all...except to you!

Fergie and Diana are distant memories.

As I've mentioned before, please don't lump these two together!  Diana didn't always do the right thing, but she was an admirable and beloved Princess of Wales.  Ferguson was nothing but a liability from Day 1 and never should have married into the royal family.  Her embarrassing antics continue.

And Diana is certainly NOT just a "distant memory".  There's a new film out about her.  Didn't you know?
