All science ( if we discount Roswell) comes from a higher functioning mammal. Maybe from an ape.

I calculate risk for a living.I give a dollar value to any given situation.

I laugh because DNA scientists must pay an excessive amount of insurance to protect their "dupas"(Polish for a**)

Sorry, I have no calculation for any profession that is infallible....according to numbers....Roswell is more likely.

As much as we can bleed for this discarded child....as so many children who have been discarded from the "big bang". And will be  discarded everyday we breath .

What has that to do with DNA science???

Phil,

I have never trusted bricks since one broke my toe and I have a deep distrust of cinder blocks. Thanks for one laugh I really needed.

I wish life could be 99.9 percent infallible. We would wake up every morning with no surprises. And we probably would know which morning was the one we didn't get to wake up.

Inquiring_Mind, you are not reading this correctly.  When Annie said "AA still never saw it, because she was FS, and never set foot in the palace. Gleb Botkin did though", she meant "Gleb Botkin had set foot in the palace, unlike AA - who didn't because she was FS".  She didn't mean "AA didn't see Ernie but Gleb Botkin did".

But it's understandable, when English is not your first language, it's hard to distinguish its subtleties.

Thank you , Helen, for taking the time to explain this to me. But please consider how important you time at university is to you and not waste it.

Even if it is true, AA still never saw it, because she was FS, and never set foot in the palace. Gleb Botkin did though.

But Annie, that is what I got from the above...

I don't hate you....how could I?...I don't know you. I just want to have a great conversation. And I want you to participate.

But if you say something like the above I think about the time line....when did AA say Uncle Ernie was in Russia and when did Gleb get to meet AA? Wasn't it years apart?

You are always looking for alternative info. I am with you on that....Gleb would have had to give this info to AA before or during her stay in the mental hospital...

And I could be wrong about the timeline....but I believe it was years apart.

Oh my goodness....Gleb saw Uncle Ernie??? Being a traitor?  Okay, I think I remember that...but was it here on the board? Please site a source.

And if you follow logic and it ends in smashing your head against a brick wall...maybe you need to take a step back.

It started, again, back on page 12 and I see Jay-Ro-Mee took part in the conversation in which we discussed that the Botkin children did have contact.

If you don't care to read everything in this post, let me just point you at these words:

>> How well had he known GD Anastasia?  He visited GD Anastasia and the Imperial Family while they were prisioners in Tobolsk.  He drew watercolors over which he and the IF shared until the IF and Gleb's father was sent to Ekaterinburg.

One can only imagine what kind of personal stories Gleb knew about the Imperial Family which absolutely no one else would have known. <<

Let's talk about the rules of a debate...Bear sites evidence from books and also first hand testimony from real people.

The next step...either find contradictory sources from books or get testimony from a source who disagrees,

Now you don't have to agree,,,,

But let's say you want to add "SUBJECTIVE" debate.

Label it as such...I will give an example...although I don't subcribe to this "subjective" debate.

Gleb was so torn losing his father and his country that he wanted to see AA as AN.

Now I am not stating this as my opinion, I am saying that this would be "subjective" rebuttal with no facts to back it up.

But in a debate this would have to be labeled as "subjective" or "my opinion".

Or you would have to site sources . As Bear has!

We all have a our feelings and opinions,,,but we cannot expect anyone to agree with us without sources.

I think it's more like if a piece of evidence was contaminated and sent to 4 different labs, they all "may" get different and conflicting results.

If they all got the same result, it would be tough to make a case for contamination.

RA,

I am interested in what your Forensic contact said about the difference in the pictures of AA when she entered the hospital and later. I am also interested in your interview with the actor and all the others.

I don't have a large circle of people from different walks of life interacting with me in my daily life.

Please consider sharing them with us here.

Let's get real here ..all of us loonies!

I am going to collect sites in the next couple of days...I have been really busy converting to new tech and doing 3 to 6 hours of training on line and phone,, day after day..

I had relatives that ended up in mental hospital(yes I am a loonie) because they were severly handicapped or just a mongoloid...in the 1920's this happened every day. These were horrible places..in Phila or in Germany no red cross...they were often naked.. sleeping on the floor. I have visited these places now that are basically abandoned...there is a drain in the middle of the floor...

Why was AA confined to a quiet ward????

Why was she so clean??? look at the pictures of her in that place. A beautiful white night gown?

When I am not so tired i will provide links that will show you what a mental hospital was like in the 1920's.

Hi All!

Some time ago I noticed that the "path" to this section  of the board contained the word "loonie". I was initially insulted but then I had a good laugh.

Maybe people are just trying to save us :D

Laughing at myself not in need of being "saved",

Bear you are missing the point by this over expansive statement.

No scientific relationship can be made to a bloodied century old cloth and "convicted people" today and their possible appeals based on re-assessment of their individual cases.

Nagai was financed privately to conduct a DNA assay on the cloth. Given that task, that is exactly what he did.

Now do you see my point?

Belochka,

Do you know who financed Nagai?

I agree with Tsaria...if a poor country steps up to the plate to offer aid, it is a true sign of respect and friendship. It can not be declined , maybe paid back?My husband said tonight if we were infirmed and without the money to drive away, he could never have left our pets.

He has multiple health problems and would never have survived in the conditions in the south...but if he could not take our animals...he would not have left.
