New book "Capriolen" by Hauck Barbara  (At the time, "Men who loved Men" was banned in Germany under Article 175 of the Criminal Code. Hessian Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig (1868-1937) tried to circumvent these forbidden friendships on the island of Capri. Far from home, the young regent was able to chase his feelings, intimate friendships and loveaffairs with men.  Does anyone know anything about it? May be the auther is somewere here.. ))
I believed that not so long ago the only known source of homosexual stories about Ernst Ludwig were Victoria-Melita`s words in retelling of the one of romanian princesses. So I wonder to know is this book a kind of yellow-press-stories or something more true-historical...

Alexandra Feodorovna / Alexandra and her education

I`ve read somewhere (well, I think that it was Elisabeth Heresh`s book and some books written by russian`s writers, f.a. "Sunny-Alix-Alexandra" by Krylov-Tolstickovoch) that Alexandra had PhD. I`ve seen NO real historic documents so I think that it`s a fake fact, but...
Do you know anything about it? And about about her education in general (subjects etc).
G.D. Elizabeth told (according to G.D. Maria Pavlovna) that she (Maria Pavlovna) studied too much and in the time of her youth young girls didn`t get so much useless knowledge into their heads. Now it seems that Maria`s educational programme wasn`t too large . So is it correct to say that Alix`s formal education was simple (just german and english languages (and french,I think), drawing, music...What else?)

Are there any photos of Olga Kolzakova, supposedly gd.Olga`s friend?
And what you can say about other gd. Olga`s (girl)friends (except TMA, of course)? I know that she was in very good relations with Margarita Hitrovo. Anybody else?
