I am so glad that these remains were found. Richard is my favourite King, and IMO it is ridiculous that people are arguing over where he should be buried. I live in Yorkshire and I think he should be buried in York Minster. He was a man of the North, he lived there and he was from there. His father was the Duke of York. We cannot forget that this man was a King, and therefore deserves a public funeral with all the traditional pomp and ceremony.

The "final" word from the Russians was that body 5 was Tatiana and 6 was Anastasia.

Here are schematics of what bones were found in the 1991 grave.  Other than Kharitonov, the pelvises are pretty much there!

that would make sense with tatiana being body 5 being as if you look at the pictures that mikey has posted body six has bone missing below the right eye- which was apprently the exit wound of the bullet that killed her.

Did these bodies have ribs? From the picture it looks like they don't. I would agree with body 5 being Tatiana. Does anyone know what killed OMA, or what injuries they suffered?

Olga and her sisters were very immature.  She and Carol could not even make conversation during their dinner in Constantza.  He was worldly. She was sheltered. 

I wouldn't say that they were immature. I think that that opinion mainly comes as a result of their upbringing.

Also, as this is a what if, what does anyone think about how TMA would have shaped up as Empresses? Personally I think that Tatiana would have been very similar to Alexandra, Maria in my opinion would have been second best for the job after Olga, because of her great compassion, and the fact that I believe she knew her own mind, and I think she would especially have benefitted if she had had a husband consort to help her. I don't think that Anastasia would have made a very good Tsarina, though. I think that she was too child-like  and fun-loving to have conformed to the seriousness and formalities involved with ruling an empire.

Wow Dru! That is really interesting. It is so lovely to hear about her father in her own words. IMO, the fact that it hasn't been translated from its original Russian makes it all the more poignant and genuine. The part near the end where she talks about going to the Peter and Paul Cathedral, and travelling in the carriage with her mother, Alix, and (she believes) Olga, also seemed to strike me for some reason.

A topic for memoirs or autobiographies written by members of the IF or people who knew them (Like Pierre Gilliard, Anna Vyrubova etc).

I remember reading somewhere on this forum that Vera Konstantinovna (KR's daughter) had written her memoirs, and that they were primarily about her family. Does anyone know what it was called?

yes, Sebastian is a descendant:

KR--Ioann--Catherine--Fiametta--Sebastian

He was present at the 1998 reburial of the Imperial Family. His grandmother, Catherine, was born in 1915 and only died in 2007. She was the last remaining Romanov who was born before the Revolution and her death marked the end of the male line of the Constantinovichi.

So this Sebastian is the only descendant of KR?
