I think it is at the kings staircase  because you can see the part of the stairs that goes up to the second floor??

when King george VI became king the duchy of cornwall was vested in him he recieved the income so  to quote king george IV mutton or veal call yourself what you like .  princess elisabeth had income  . King george VI used the duchy of cornwall income to provide his brothers etc with money and to buy back sandringham and  balmoral from the duke of windsor      this is a big mistake  in messing with the fabric of the monarchy  this will be the downfall of the british monarchy.     i am afraid to say it but the magic is gone.

this is just political theater   when Charles becomes King George VII  he could reign for 20 years then William another 30+ it will be well over 50 years  why is this a issue?  they are destroying the magic . its only a mater of time before its done in.

they shouldn't change anything   This proposed law will be the down fall of the British Monarchy   I find it silly that a institution thats not democratic  and they are worried about fairness.  to be fair why don't they hold elections? elect the monarch? that's fair where do you stop?
this is absurd.

i hope they don't tinker with the monarchy  because i am afraid most of the commonwealth would just go there own way  its not like the present system  has kept woman off the throne  two queens have reigned for 120 years   combined  i find it laughable that this is what they spend there time on when great Britain is in such bad shape. they have the best monarchy in the world and everyone wants them to become like the other 2nd class monarchy .  look at Sweden   they changed there succession and now they are headed for extinction  . Victoria seems some what illegitimate  carl phillip should be king

its not like we are giving up Queen regnant  I just feel  its silly to democratize  un-democratic institution to begin with  and   its a big mistake  and even if they did change the law   it would most likely be  60 to 80 years  and that's if William and Catherine have a girl first   it could be  100 years   i think its silly to change it

I am against it mainly  they are trying to democratize a undemocratic institution to start with . I belive if they end up changing it  they might as well do away with it .  but allowing the males to succeed  also allows for more woman to become queen . like kate middleton a commonor now can become queen over a member of the royal family i.e princess Anne.

Just curious on how everyone feels about changing the order of succession allowing for daughters to take precedence in the birth order?

Queen Victoria  resembled her father  the Duke of kent   just look at the portraits  and she resembled other members of the Hanoverian  royal family and also the duke of kent  thought she was his daughter

One urban legend that surrounds the British royal family is that Queen Victoria ( Little Drina) was a results of an affair that her mother, Victoria, duchess of Kent had.

There are several theory's for this, some of them are -

- The absence of porphyria in Queen Victoria's descendants (Don't forget this is what George III had)

-The rise of hemophilia within the family. No one in the Duke or Duchess of Kent's family suffered from it  (it was also unknown within Albert's family). QV herself was puzzled by the emergence of the disease.

What do you think?

there was a wonderful Documentary on royal diseases  and queen Victoria did pass porphyria down to her decedents  particularly  to a grand daughter      princess Charlotte had porphyria   . Queen Victoria  absolutely resembled her father the duke of Kent  and had the Hanoverian looks   there is no question  she was the duke of kents daughter
