Good to see these on! I wanted to know what Bebe looked like - any of her as an older child?

Oh, I didn't realise that you were an AA supporter; well, it's good to have people of all opinions on here! I haven't seen later pics of AA - yes you must learn to post photos! ;) (PM me if you like. :) )

Yes, the eyes and mouth are particularly similar, but even the lower jaw, nose and eyebrows too. 'Tis strange that AA doesn't look anything like GD Anastasia (IMO at least) when she is the most famous AN claimant.

The lower left picture is the original of the one on the right. I tried to make it bigger but it blurred.

Imperial Claimants Post Here / GD Xenia / Anna Anderson Comparison
« on: June 09, 2005, 07:38:55 AM »
Reading "Once A Grand Duchess" yesterday, I was struck by a photograph of Grand Duchesses Xenia and Olga. GD Xenia looked so like Anna Anderson. I can't  find the pic on the web, but here's what I did find.

[BTW, please bear in mind, I am not a supporter of AA's case; to my mind she was a sad woman not in her right mind. But the likeness, to me, is somewhat uncanny.]

Thanks. :) It doesn't seem like one of these really 'important' books on the Romanovs but I think I'll enjoy it as I know very little about GD Xenia.

"Once A grand Duchess - Xenia, Sister of Nicholas II" by John Van der Kiste & Coryne Hall. I was given this today as a gift. Anyone read it? :)

The Windsors / Re: Edward and Sophie, Earl and Countess of Wessex

That's such a shame about Lady Louise's condition. :( I really hope it all goes well for the whole family.

I had wondered whether or not the Countess would get a military appointment; does Prince Edward have any?

More's the pity I can't remember the arguments against Prince Leopald's 'haemophilia'. But if I did, it would make no difference to some people. ::)

..."Common Sense"....

Just a thought - say Prince Leopald did have haemophilia, and others of Queen Victoria's descendants; this would not mean that the tsarevich had haemophilia. Not in the least. That, I think, is common sense. ;)

But it stands or falls on the DNA.

I'm tired of that one, lol. ::) Leave the claimants out of it; or have I said that enough times already?...

A bit 'thank you' to Mr Kendrick for his very interesting contribution to the forum. His answers are well researched, easy to read and, as far as I am concerned, credible. :)

You have excellent English for a third language. :D

Another new story for me. Anyone have anymore?

That's a point... I don't know. ??? I presume the Russian Orthodox church today recognises Russia's present government?

I can't remember the details - was it something to do with her working at a hospital? Someone else, no doubt, will know!
