Yes, Victoria hated her looks...and when Leopold was born, she found him very ugly with big head. But I don't think, that her opinion was objective and right. I think, he looked lovely as a boy and young man.

Very nice portrait of him! He was indeed the best looking son of Qeen Victoria. It's a pity, that he had heamophilia and died even before his 31-th birthday!

I like very much Zita!
It's strange, but her funeral made me cry... I think because I saw in these images the real end of centuries of history!

Yes, it was indeed touching. Although she passed away in 1989, her funeral had glance of the old monarchy.

This is not Elisabeth Franziska, but her younger sister Gertrud who married Elisabeth's widower Georg Waldburg-Zeil in 1931 - only two years after Ella's death ... Gertrud is pictured with her children Sophie and Joseph Clemens.

Yes, even Gertrud looked like Marie Valerie. Her smile reminds me completely her mother.
