Thank you. GD Olga is my favorite one,  I love his "noble simplicity " .  I posted the back of the photo with the inscription

A photo of the GD Olga with her cousins Olga e Alexandra of Hanover. The man should be  Frederick Francis IV  last Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, husband of Alexandra. Has resemblance with Nikolai Kulikovsky but I have doubts

Hi mishaxenia,
Yes, благословение родителей (blessing from parents). 19(?)8.
At the bottom (the Church Slavonic language): "Святая Икона сия письма Князя Михаила ???'' - "This Holy Icon is painted by Prince Michail (patronymic)". I hope I will read the last word if you will make a bigger foto))
Hi ,Antonina  thank you very much, now it is possible "to complete" the history of the icon. Bye Misha

My feeling is that he is some sort of close family friend or retainer, but not a relation. Could he be Xenia's confidant Serge Dolgoruky - has anyone seen a picture of him?

Ann
I have not seen photos of Serge Dolgoruky, but it is possible because the woman in the photo, probably named Irina ( later mistakenly identified as Irina Yusupova) . Serge Dolgoruky had married Irina Vassilievna Naryshkin (1879-1917) , Xenia friend. The daughter Olga was Viscountess Tredegar. Possible?
I have read that Irina was the mother ( from the first marriage ) of Maria Illarionovna Vorontsova-Dashkova ,wife of  Prince Nikita Alexandrovich son of GD Xenia.
