I have heard from writer Coryne Hall, author of "Little Mother of Russia", who tells me she is hard at work on her next book, entitled "Imperial Dancer: Mathilde Kschessinska and the Romanovs". Coryne says she loves reading this Forum, so I told her I would let all of you know how much she enjoys reading what we write! I would imagine her book will be coming out next year.

It would have depended entirely on who found her. However, as has been discussed in many other threads on this forum, Anastasia had no possibility of succession  until the male dynastic line was extinct - something that would not happen until 1992.

If she had been able to leave Russia alive, it would have been likely that she would be married off into another ruling family or perhaps to an eligible grand duke.

She would have been an heir to her father's assets, such as they were. Depending on where the estate was settled, this would have meant she would get all personal assets not stolen by the Bolsheviks, or would have had a share along with his mother and sisters, plus his nephew by Mikhail.

To the best of my knowledge, he was never HIM's official representative in Britain. He was well to do for his entire life and did not die a pauper.

The Alexander Palace / Nicholas & Alexandra @ Home/Santa Fe

My family is making plans to visit Santa Fe from July 1 through 5 - that's 4th of July weekend - to see the Nicholas and Alexandra exhibition.

We're taking the train on the night of June 30th from LA's Union Station and will arrive around 2 PM on July 1st. Our return trip will find us leaving Lamy (close to Santa Fe) about 2 PM on Monday the 5th - and we'll be back in the City of Angels at 8 AM on the 6th.

My sister says hotels outside the downtown area are fairly reasonably priced and the city is easy to get around in.

So, I am offering to help make arrangements if anyone wants to join in any part of our journey.

I just received my copy of this book and it looks terrific! It can be ordered through Will report back once I've read it.

AFAIK, the Grand Duchess remains in Jerusalem.
