That would be in Brunswick...but there are plenty of books showing the old Hohenzollern Palace in Berlin. I picked up a free magazine showing the proposed rebuild and conservation of surviving relics

But yes, all seems odd to some people as Germany is a republic and there is no call for a return for a monarchy to live in these palaces.

Yes, chris USA is correct. The Wessex children can adopt the royal style in the future, it depends on their personality. Pr Edward has let it be known that he will take on the Edinburgh title...presumably from King Charles/George (who is the heir ) The York girls  might prefer a private life in the future and rennounce their style . Certainly the curators are determined to take on more of KP. Don't forget that the it's a home to many royal retainers. I think this came to a head after the fire at Hampton Court which is following the same policy.

Caserta bought the Villa Marie Therese after a win on the lottery in 1871. It was sold for demolision in 1925 and a hotel built on the site. He then moved to Villa Mireille and RENAMED IT THE VILLA MARIE THERESE....

i believe Prince Charles has supported a scheme to rebuild the Town Palace there, again the interiors are lost forever. Although having seen the Royal Castle in Warsaw anything is possible

It's policy to clear KP and eventually it will be completely open as a museum without any royals.

Marc to be fair to Remi. Europe is awash with the most ancient noble families and not many were impressed with the Bornemizsa de Kászon et Impérfalva. Sadly the marriage didn't last but she will bring some needed dosh to the Habsburg coffers

it is owned by Duchy of Cornwall ....he refused Chevening ....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevening.   Like all these houses it is up to the taste of the family member...D of Windsor preferred Fort Belvedere ( now leased by a Canadian millionaire),his brother took on Royal Lodge etc. The future William Pr of Wales and family may prefer somewhere else...or his father may keep Highgrove as his country home.
