I mean, there is the popular anecdote about Olga taking Alexandra's books from her shelves and saying along the lines of "You must wait, Mama, until I find out if this is a suitable book for you to read!"

She would love Snapchat!

YKYOWTRW you name your brand new DSLR camera 'Masha' in memory of Maria Nicholaevna because she was an avid photographer.

Indeed! The Anastasia cartoon was my favorite movie when I was little. I watched it so many times I could probably lip synch the entire thing.

YKYOWTR when you sit down in Littrans 201 (19th Century Russian Literature) for the first time and you look at the guy sitting on your right and think, "Oh my gosh, he looks just like Nicholas!" Identical profiles, same hair color, neatly trimmed beard. He looked like Nicholas dressed in a baseball cap and T-shirt. It was weird.

I was looking through 'Nicholas and Alexandra: The Last Imperial Family of Tsarist Russia' and came across a quote from a book called 'Selected Works' by A.F. Koni. It said that Alexandra graduated form Heidelberg University with a degree in philosophy.

Alexandra Feodorovna / Re: Alexandra's Routine

I think it was in one of her diaries from 1903/1904. She mentions that the doctors said that she should no longer eat anything from animals (meat). I'll see if I can find the reference.

Crisp bacon? But Alexandra was a vegetarian. Or was this before 1903?

She was still in her crinoline and curls era. Her sister Alexandra used the curls to hide her scar on her neck.
What scar?
