I'm new to this forum, but you know that Maximilian and Charlotte lived in the Chapultepec Castle while in Mexico, and some say that they are used to seeing Charlotte searching for Maximilian in every corner of the castle until she gives up and sits on her bed. Others say that she plays the mexican national anthem on the piano, while others say that both she and Maximilian waltz every night.
It would be really interesting to hear something about the belgian palaces...
never heard of that story.. very interesting!
got some more information? or a website where i can read about it?

I have One story in the book...well its small story..
Empress Zita has written it.. its about the white lady(der weiße frau von der hofburg) that comes when somebody of the imperial family dies.
she write (I'll Translate it) "on 30 August 1889 Elisabeth  (she is in caux in switserland on that moment)  is enjoying the cool night on the balkony. At midnight she saw in the park of the hotel the white lady very wanderin around very clearly and bright. she stares at her and then the white lady disappears. in the same year on 10th of September she was murdered in Geneve"

Another part of the book(again translated from german 2 english so sorry if there are some writing mistakes):
there is a special interesting story (that has been told by more than one people) and its about an acoustic ghost/phenomenon.
In one hall/salon in schönbrunn castle, at night seems to be a returning voice heared by persons of the imperial family and by the servants in the time of the monarchy.
strangely the nightly whispers and giggles is still heared in our republican days.
some of the people from "schönbrunn-Betriebs-Gesellschaft" have heared/wittnised these noisy but peacefull phenomenon.

In the book is a capitel about empress Elisabeth.. some small parts say she did pagan rituals and Voodoo magic.. because of that she carried with her alot of talismans because of the fear of the evil that could come from the "other side".
(in  a Other book i got a picture of what i believe are her Talismans i shall scan it one of these days)

There is also a capital in the book about archduke Johann Salvator.. he had done some séances with crownprince Rudolf, Archduke Eugen Dr. Widerhofer, Baron Hellenbach and more people..2 communicate with the spirits on the other side.. but i will translate that another time...if anybody is interested in that..

Later i will translate more and place it here

Yesterday, i was shopping with my Mom and Aunt at a mall in Bangkok, when we pass this picture frame shop and I saw that many of them had a picture of a woman in them, and at first glance, they looked like Sissi.  A few seconds later, I ask to turn back, and I just looked at the closest one and said, "OMG, that's Sissi!"  The shopkeeper allowed me to take a picture on my Aunt's cell phone.  Once my Aunt wakes up, I'm going to figure out how to get the picture from her cell, and it should be a breeze after that.  Please tell me it's Sissi, because the shopkeeper said someone had asked who it was, and i told her it was Sissi.  I'll feel bad if I'm wrong.

Im curious :d

this i just found on the internet..also wanna know more about that :p

In Trieste, Italy, there is a beautiful castle called Miramare Castle. The legend says that the castle has a curse. The curse was brought by the ancient Egyptian sphinx that sits outside the castle.

Since I live in Italy, it was very easy for me to find informations about the legends of the Castle of Miramare around the Italian web sites.

I repeat that I'm sceptic, I don't consider myself a "ghosts believer", although I find these stories interesting.

It is said that the ghost of Charlotte of Belgium is still in the castle, according to some testimonials in the castle you can hear the noise of footsteps and you can see lights that turns on and off mysteriously.

would love to know more about that...

do you got that story complete...maybe y ou can translate from italian to english...?

I'm curious to know if there are "strange stories" about the Castle of Miramare, is not in Austria, it is here in Italy, precisely in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, near to Trieste (the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia was under the Austro-Ungharian domination).

In that castle the Archduke Maximilian lived for several years with his wife Charlotte of Belgium...here you can see a photo of the castle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:CastelloMiramare.jpg

im curious 2 :p

want to know stories about all the habsburg palaces and castles around the world :p
