If the news is to be believed (without a formal acknowledgement), Princess Beatrice has split from long term boyfriend, Dave Clark. They had dated 10 years.

On another, happier note, today is her 28th birthday.

It was quite a treat seeing for the very first time the monarch's private entrance to Buckingham Palace in "The Queen at 90." The foyer is painted the same color as her reception room where she accepts diplomate's credentials. It is rather plain with only a few pieces of furniture, but it is illuminated with many windows and is very bright. I was able to see the inside of the elevator as the Queen stepped out as well. Thrilled!!!

It has been reported that Kate has worn the Cambridge Lover's Knott Tiara to the Queen's annual Diplomatic Reception. This is very exciting news for those of us who have been waiting to see that lovely tiara once again. Marvelous!

Big birthday celebrations for HM will happen in May 2016 at Windsor Home Park over four consecutive nights. The Queen will attend the final night and it will be broadcast on ITV.

Kate and William looked fantastic at the state banquet tonight. Kate was wearing the papyrus tiara; however, she was not wearing the Family Order. Unfortunate. I would think by now, producing and heir and a "spare," that she would have been awarded that honor.

Does anyone know when the Ghillies Ball takes place at Balmoral?

I was just wondering if it is towards the end of HM's stay at Balmoral. If so, perhaps it's taking place this weekend. It would be a wonderful thing to witness!
