Imperial Russian History / A. T. Wasiljew
« on: January 11, 2013, 05:43:01 AM »
Does anyone here have information about A. T. Wasiljew? As far as I know he was head of the secret police (Ochrana) in 1917 and published a book about his work in the 1930ties.

Thank you in advance!

I wonder, if anybody has seen the photoexhibition at the Burggarten in Friedberg in 2010/11/12?

I really liked it! They showed official and private pictures of the visit of the IF in 1910 to Friedberg and Bad Nauheim at the beatiful Burggarten in Friedberg. The first exhibition in 2010 was a big success and the displayed more pictures during 2011 and 2012.

Here a link with an article about the exhibition from Frankfurter Rundschau: http://www.fr-online.de/bad-vilbel/ausstellung-im-burggarten-familie-zar-ganz-privat,1472868,15243640.html

Rasputin / Was Rasputin a homosexual?
« on: January 04, 2013, 09:04:38 AM »
Is there any proof for Rasputin beeing bi- or homosexual? The other day I watched a documentary about Rasputin on youtube where Orlando Fidges stated that he might had had a sexual relationship with Felix Yusupov. The writer Asta Scheib was spinning an alike plot in her book "Frost und Sonne" about the Yusupov family and Rasputin.
Are there any files or documents which proof this theory?

Russian Noble Families / Kelch-family
« on: February 02, 2009, 12:35:40 PM »

Hi,

I'm looking for information and pics on/of the Kelch-family from St. Petersburg.

I just know they were a wealthy, noble (?) family and that Alexnder F. Kelch ordered some precious Faberge-eggs for his wife Barbara.

Thank you!

Books about the Romanovs and Imperial Russia / Frost und Sonne
« on: January 17, 2009, 10:44:32 AM »

Hi,

has anyone here read Asta Scheib's book "Frost und Sonne" about Felix Yussupov and Rasputin?
It's fiction, but based on the historic backround  and in my opinion a good description of the life they lived.

What do you think about it?

I don't know if it's translated into English, yet?

Hi,

I'm new here and happy to see, that there are so many others who are interested in the last Romanovs and their time!

I was wondering was happened to Prince Alexander Dolgoruky, Adjutant-General to the Emperor and Ilya Tatischev, Adjutant-General to the Emperor after they were arrested in Jekaterinburg. Were they executed like so many others?

Thanks for information!
