Yes but what I think he meant to dwell on was the sad mood rather than mood in general.

The reason for me - James Horner, despite my love for Yared's rejected version.

Road To Perdition - Thomas Newman!

Thomas Newman is just wonderful to listen to. This quote from him is so wise.

"I remember a teacher once asked me, what makes music sad? What a brilliant question. His answer was, it takes on the physical qualities of something sad. Meaning if it's sad, a melody will move in step-wise manner. It will tend to be slower as you are when you're sad; it takes on the physical characteristics of an emotional state. Something in the music rings and carries you back to a memory you have that elicits a feeling. I guess what's wonderful about music is that it's utterly abstract and yet has a great kind of sinuous, subjective emotional reaction. I like the idea that music can be dimensional, that it's not necessarily playing what's there."

Though I LOVED What Would Brian Boitano Do? I really didn't like the South Park movie.

A popular song in 1911 was "Come Josephine In My Flying Machine."

You learn a lot by reading the liner notes in "Back To Titanic" CD LOLOL!

I loved Mary Poppins, because Mr. Banks always reminds me of my dad, and the relationship between his children reminds me of mine. I watched this many times with him, it's one of his favorites.

Now that I'm older I marvel at hos amazing the choreography for "Step In Time" is. That was my second favorite scene in the film (the favorite being the "Feed the Birds" cathedral scene).

Even today my dad and I hardly spend time with each other. And he lives 5 miles away. The primary reason is my stepmother and her attitude.

I enjoyed Prince of Thieves purely for the sword fights, Alan Rickman and Morgan Freeman.

But what REALLY cemented my love was MICHAEL KAMEN!!!!!!

I think that's the best thing he's done, however I am quite new to his work, I only know a few things he's done, so I might not be the best judge.

THE SHINING! with Jack Nicholson!

Now I've never read the book but after hearing what a travesty the movie was to the book, and after watching it, I couldn't see why anyone likes it! Seems the only ones who do like it are those who have not read the book!

That film made King not want to work in Hollywood again!

The TV remake with Stephen Weber was much better, closer to the book.

I didn't see all the fuss about Lost In Translation. I'm a huge Bill Murray fan, and I actually fell asleep in this movie. What a shame.
