  None of her siblings wore bangs...Why would Anastasia wore them?

I think she must have had a scar of some sort.  I found this picture

and clearly she doesn't have bangs, fringe, whatever, in that photo, but she does in nearly every photo after that.  I think it would be odd to go from having a style like her sisters and suddenly changing to having bangs without a reason.  The scar story makes sense to me.

Well, all siblings have arguements once and a while, usually over something stupid.  They might have had this particular arguement maybe once, but given their closeness, I doubt it was a regular habit like rumour suggests.

I have a question.  Would Elizabeth have become ruler of Hesse, provided she lived and her father didn't remarry?  Then again, Would Ernie have remarried at all knowing he already had a child to put on the throne?

What a beautiful child she was.  Here is one of my favorites.  I love this picture, because it is so natural looking.


The "saucer" eyes really stand out here.  Also, in the picture with the shaved heads, she stands out more to me than her siblings.

this is probably a really stupid question, but who is the lady in-between them?

If first saw that listed as Bertie in a web site not to long ago.  However, I went to the library and skimmed the picture sections of three books about QV and one about Vicky.  All had that picture and all listed it as Vicky.  So, I think it is safe to say it's Vicky.

someone asked if those photos of QV were while she was pregnant with Vicky.  That is impossible.  THe first photograph ever taken of QV was with Vicky when she was about four years old.
