I just finished watching an A&E doco on Anastasia and Anna Anderson, where Peter was interviewed a far bit on Anna Anderson and his thoughts.  I am thinking the doco was done in 2005/6.

He is adimit and states quiet clearly that Anna Anderson was Anastasia.  (He wrote a large book on history and reasons why Anna Anderson is Anastsia and it's called "Anastasia")

Of course we all know that AA was not Anastasia and finding the remains of Maria and Alexei firmly confirms that they all didn't survive the death sentence.

So does anyone know what Peter Kurth said about the remains being found?  I am sure it has shattered him.

On the contrary, Kurth maintains his belief in Anna Anderson, and has a number of reasons for being skeptical about the identity & authenticity of the bones that were found in 2007.

:sigh:  There is such strong scientific and written evidence that proves it was Alexei and Maria.   It seems sad that he can not accept the fact that AA was not Anastasia.

What is his reasons Sarushka to say that the remains are not of Alexei and Maria?  Seriously the archologists follow Yurvosky's description of were they dumped the last two bodies and found the remains.   And how likely is it that within that long time period would two bodies that matched the age and height descriptions of Maria and Alexei would occur, notherless the nails and bottles that were found with the bodies.

Very sad indeed that his thoughts and dreams are shattered that he has to try to make more controversy to continue on saying it isn't them.

It's a shame indeed. But, I got to say, I admire his steadfastness regarding this subject. Now that science disproved Anna Anderson's claim, I think it's about time he publish or donate to a university the materials that Anna Anderson entrusted to him. If I can remember well, Anna Anderson were given stuffs like pics and mementos from the Imperial Family.

To my knowledge, Kurth hasn't made any public denouncement of the last set of remains. If you ask his opinion he'll tell you, but as far as I'm aware he isn't campaigning, so to speak, against the latest findings.
