This may actually be Tatiana. I'm not sure -- it's in both places in my files!

It's Tatiana. She's wearing the same clothes in other pictures.

Wow, Sarushka, great photos! I have to ask : Where are they from? A single accessible source I hope.

Many different places, I'm afraid. You'll find some of them at livadia.org and Beinicke. Glancing through the others I recognize images from Anastasia's Album, Royal Russia, and Nicholas & Alexandra: The Family Albums.

I thought that was Olga and Maria.  ???

It was labeled "bigpairocean1914" when I got it from Lanie, but I didn't think much about it before now. I think she's correct because both girls have their hair up. Maria didn't turn 16 until 1915.

Thanks, Sarushka.

I'd seen about two-thirds before; the ones new to me are probably from Beinecke, or maybe Livadia.org. I'll check there.

I thought for some unknown reason, Maria had her hair up before she turned 16?

But it probably is Tatiana.

Thank goodness they weren't allowed to wear their hair up until 16, we'd all be so confused with less quality pictures otherwise.  :D

There are a very few photos of Maria with her hair up in what seems to be 1914, but all of them were taken on board the Standart, perhaps on the same day. (The IF's last cruise on the Standart was in the summer of 1914.)

I think the boy shown with Aleksei in #15 (in the tyre) may well be Prince Igor Konstantinovitch who was attached to the Tsar's personal suite at that time.
