Where did the children of Blanca and Leopold Salvator grow up?

I think it is interesting that of their ten children, all of whom reached adulthood, none of them made a royal or even illustrious marriage with the exception of Anton who married Illeana of Roumania.

Were they so poor that no other families sought them for marriage?  I'm sure it didn't have to do with looks, they were an attractive bunch.

The family of Blanca abd Leopold Salvator shared their time between Vienna and Blanca's estate "La Tenuta Reale" in Viareggio, Italy.

Actually Archduke Leopold Salvator was not a poor man, but quite a rich one through his techinical inventions and patents (he was very interested in engineering and such like). But  after the fall of the monarchy his wealth began to melt.

He died of sepsis.
Ich aber breite trauernd aus
die weiten weissen Schwingen,
Und kehr' ins Feenreich nach Haus -
Nichts soll mich wieder bringen.

Thank you, Marie Charlotte

I wonder what caused the sepsis.  Not that it mattered, since it could've been anything, due to antibiotics not being invented yet!

Rare photo of Archduchess Margaretha's marriage to Francesco Maria Taliani, Marchese di Marchio, in 1937. She was Leopold Salvator's daughter.

Behind the newlyweds is Dolores, eldest sister of Margaretha. Behind the priest is  Archduchess Blanca, bride's mother. And the woman in the centre  looks very much like Queen Ena of Spain...

"Assunta entered a convent in Barcelona with the intention of becoming a nun, but was forced to flee when the convent was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War in 1936...At the age of 37 Assunta married a Doctor, Joseph Hopfinger, who originated from Galicia. He was Jewish and as remaining in Europe at that time was unsafe, they emigrated to the USA. The couple, who had 2 daughters, Maria Teresa and Elisabeth, divorced in 1950. Assunta spent the rest of her life in Texas and died in San Antonio in 1993."

Assunta was such a beauty. Here's another picture of her and her husband, J. Hopfinger:

I wonder if there are more photos of her that show her not as a girl but already a woman.
