Hi all!

I don´t know if you´ll like it, but I have it in my computer for some time and I thought I should share it with other OTMA (especially Maria) fans. It is a poem - but originally it´s in Czech, which is my mother language - so in English it doesn´t rhyme. I took the last two senteces from one of Maria´s letter from Ekaterinburg to her siblings in Tobolsk.
Here it goes:

An old wooden seesaw
Overgrown with ivy
Secretly hid one silken hair
A memory of a girl
That time swept aways
With all her dreams and desires

The gentle breeze kept her breath
And her name
Is yet to be engraved into the marble
Decorate it with a lily
And then think
What could she have been like

And if the stone
Will refuse to tell you
What she kept in the heart and how she wanted to live
Imagine a beautiful
Song about mercy
A clear stream where animals come to drink

In the grey pools
Love itself was bathing
And gave her hand to a red blossom
Coppery moon
Upon the white meadow
Siletly sang that last sentence:
Do you still play on the seesaw?
Or has the plank finally broken?

Oh what a poetic nature you have, Ally!
It makes me cry. It reminds me of my long lost twin grandmother, Grand Duchesse Maria.
She read this already and she loved it so much. I don't have any poetic side in me.
Post Scriptum: You really love her (Maria).

Thank you Olga Maria!

Yes, I certainly do have a soft spot for Maria... for some unexplainable reason. It´s not something you choose yourself.

Oh, I'm so touched with what you've said.
I'm one of her most caring and devoted fans, too.
But you're so inspired of her, unlike me, & I can't equal that.
Keep supporting Maria and the rest...
Welcome, your work really deserves an adulation.

Thank you once again.
For some reason I find Maria most inspiring... it probably comes from all those beautiful pictures....

This is another poem I wrote some time ago - again it doesn´t rhyme in English...

Hidden under white daisies
there she lies forgotten
And still - once she laughed with bright morning
and cried in the dim twilight.

And didn´t feel afraid.

She loved to play and called onto the clouds,
when grass gently bounded her wrists
and lilac pettals were falling to her hair.

Then she laughed with birches and cried with blue dragonfly.

And she was loved.

Perhaps stars were alight,
when she descended those stairs.
Perhaps buttercup has just fallen asleep on the meadow.
Then she closed her eyes.
And wept with gunfire - it was taking her beloved ones,

until she stayed alone.

The girl, who nestled her face
close to the tree trunks cracked with age,
doesn´t have a tombstone.

Hidden under white daisies,
there she lies forgotten.
