I'll admit that I've been silently thinking that some people have been a bit too hard on Beatrice, but these latest pictures have changed my mind. She can't help that her eyes are so big, but the silly exaggerated faces make them look even larger. If she was a little girl making those faces it would be cute, but she's no longer a child. She wants attention -it's obvious- but she doesn't have to rely on ill fitting unattractive clothes, silly faces, or ridiculous ideas like space travel or a clothing line to get it. She's the granddaughter of the Queen of England and one of the few female HRH's by blood. Her mere existence is going to gain her the attention of all the photographers that she wants. If she had half the sense of her Aunt Diana (or even Angelina Jolie for goodness sakes) she'd use her fame and royal status for something even remotely resembling a good cause that preferably doesn't involve hats, fancy dress, or mini skirts.

Some context - courtesy of a bit of mind jogging byTaren:

Princess Beatrice is almost the same age that Lady Diana Spencer was when she became engaged to the Prince of Wales.   Just a thought.

I know Beatrice is reputed to be the Queen's favourite grandchild - I wonder if HM is having second thoughts?   Beatrice might yet turn out like that former royal wild cihild - Zara Phillips.   However, Zara had Princess Anne as a mother and I don't really think Beatrice will represent her country (without using her royal connection) nor will she be a world champion... at anything.

Again, what a git she is.  And it's only a matter of time before the "girls" pop out of one of her outfits and be plastered on every tabloid worldwide.  At least when that happens some Texan won't be sucking on her toes.  Hopefully.

If Beatrice is her grandmother's favourite, it must be a curious mixture of love and pity The Queen has for her.

Oh my dog that is too funny.  lol.

I think Beatrice should keep a much lower profile for a while, until she becomes a bit more 'polished' shall we say.  Her 'gap year' should be spent at a finishing school if she is going to persist in pursuing publicity.  She is doing herself no favours allowing herself to be splashed over tabloid pages in such a state if she wants to be taken seriously as a royal or a businessperson.

I gotta admit her dressing is whack!!!! If she is planning on being the next "Coco Chanel" she has to have that style and her style is somewhat of a disaster even a pig could dress better, but in all fairness she isn't a "bad girl." She hasn't done anything terrible.

i think she just want attention.
she haves realy big eyes so when she blinks with one eye and they capture it on camera it already looks if she is drunk and the press is going al over her.

She just like, seeing herself be on the newspaper, tv, internet articles and in front of the camra. I think Beatrice is doing this all on purpose, like she slightly pulled sown her dress, and made that strange expression on her face. She did that so people and the camra can look and capture even more attention. Knowing, that is even causing more trouble and danger for her. She making herself look bad, on purpose and for attention. If she is her grandmother's favorite, and heard all about  thisperhaps she changed her mind.

So far at least, Eugenie seems to be the type who shuns publicity and who values whatever anonymity she might still have.  She hasn't openly sought attention on her own; Beatrice could learn a thing or two.

EE,

This is just the problem.  Beatrice is learning a thing or two from the wrong person--Her Mother.

I don't think she does anything 'on purpose'.  She appears far too gormless for that.  If one heard her speak during her 18th birthday celebrations last year, you would have thought a little girl of 12 was talking, not an 18 year old almost adult.  She simply has no idea and is obviously not receiving much in the way of guidance, or as Tampa has suggested, the wrong sort of guidance, so it appears...

Since Beatrice is a princess, does she have an adviser or a PR representative or something like that to avoid situations like this? It's not like she can't afford it, right? I don't know much about English royalty, but does she get an allowance for someone to make sure she always looks good when out and about in public?

It was an epithet I well remember from my slum childhood but it seems very strange used in this context. A git - to Brits anyway - is invariably a disreputable and often curmudgeonly and ill-tempered man, usually old. Hence the comedy characters 'The Old Gits' from Harry Enfield in the 90's. My brother once told me it was Arabic-or-something for a pregnant camel but then he is as thick as he is reliable on these things (though in THAT context it would fit rather well alas). Just wondered....

Someone should lock Beatrice up in the Tower and do the world a favour. She seems to be a walking disaster area.
