I think this will be great as Cavalli is one of my favorite designers and he can show Beatrice a proper way to dress for her figure.

Does anyone know of a website that has baby and child pictures of Beatrice?

I just have a couple of questions regarding  Princess Beatrice being Cavalli’s muse… The article says he’s enjoys a close relationship with the duchess of York, then how come Fergie keep making mistakes. I guess this shows  that you can enjoy a close relationship with the best designers in the world, but either you have the “fashion sense” or you don’t. On the same hand. The article says Cavalli is going to create a couple of things with her in mind, not for her…What does he mean? He’s  creating a new line for heavy teenagers???...

The Cavalli Summer 2008 collection is right for Beatrice (see www.style.com).  Cavalli's normal sex appeal is toned way down in this collection.  I think he means exactly what he said.  Cavalli will design a couple of  pieces with Beatrice in mind that will be wearable and attractive for young women of all body types.

I know that we have given Beatrice a bit of stick for her quirky fashion choices; it is easy to forget that she is only 19 and maybe has a way to go to find her own style.

Did some of you ever think maybe that IS her 'own style?' Just because she was born into the royal family doesn't mean she should be sentenced to a lifetime of bland jacket and skirt combos, matronly hats and stuffy sprayed short hairdos if she doesn't want to. I have always wondered why the royals didn't develop more of a unique style but all (in recent decades) seem to follow the same list like it's an obligation. I was never impressed with most of Diana's wardrobe, it always made her look too old IMO. If you're young, and rich, why shouldn't you be free to choose what YOU like and not what others think you should wear? She should be proud of herself for having enough self confidence and pride in individuality to wear what SHE personally likes instead of worrying about what others say.

Certainly, Annie.  No doubt her 'self confidence, pride and individuality' is what's winning her so many compliments with the way she looks!

I wouldn't worry about sticking up for Beatrice too much.  She's looked the way she does for a long time now and is clearly oblivious to any criticism.

But that's just the opinion of others, why should she care? She's a princess, and even if she wasn't, no one has the right to tell anybody else what to wear. Maybe she would laugh at your clothes.

She probably doesn't care, as well she shouldn't.

Exclusive interview in Hello! this  week with Princess Beatrice...

The headline reads "Princess Beatrice opens her heart about boyfriend Dave as she joins her mother on a special mission"

'Princess Beatrice has spoken for the first time about her love for 25-year-old boyfriend Dave Clark, declaring "he's wonderful."  She told Hello! magazine exclusively about how he whisked her off to the Caribbean for a holiday because he missed her.
Beatrice, 19, who is fifth in line to the throne, was recently pictured in Hello! frolicking in St. Barts and kissing her handsome boyfriend.  Speaking about the vacation, the princess explained how her romantic partner had set it up as a surprise for her: "I've been away so much this year he got quite upset and said to me, 'Right, that's it, it's our time now,' and took me off to St. Barts."
Beatrice also revealed that her beau has given her a tiny white-gold love token containing a little diamond, which she wears attached to a piece of string on her left wrist next to her Chanel watch.
Beatrice and Dave, who works for Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic space project, have been dating for 18 months, but have spent weeks apart in 2008 as the princess, who is on her gap year, travelled to Thailand, New York and Switzerland.

CRISIS OF CONFIDENCE
Their romantic Caribbean break - where they were joined by four friends - was slightly marred by negative comments in some newspapers about Beatrice's beachwear.  The sensitive young royal told us she loved seeing the pictures of her holiday in Hello! but was stung by remarks in the media. When we caught up with her recently at a reception for Children in Crisis (the charity founded by her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York), the princess radiated nothing but confidence.  Dressed in a belted black dress, she looked polished and elegant.  As part of her gap year, Beatrice is currently getting work experience at the department store Selfridges, helping out on fashion shoots and learning about the designers stocked by the retailer.  But she is also following in the footsteps of her mother - and those of her cousins Princes William and Harry - by getting involved in charity work.
The teen royal is planning to build her own school in Liberia, raising the funds herself in her newly created role as junior ambassador for Children in Crisis.  "I'm determined to do it," she told us, "And while I'm at (university), I'll have plenty of time off to see it through."
Beatrice, who has excelled at school despite suffering from dyslexia, admitted, "I do work hard, but that's only because I had a great example.  I see my mother and my father who both work so hard.  My mother never stops.  She is amazing."  The duchess has visited both Sierra Leone and Liberia, and is running projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo, bringing educational opportunities to the children of countries devastated by poverty and conflict.'

I will share more if anyone is interested.  The magazine claims that Beatrice's new digs will be an apartment in St. James' Palace.

Cavalli can only improve upon what we have already seen thus far.

I can see what Annie means when she doubts the validity of Baetrice being condemned to the dreary royal style affected by most of the Windsor women but individuality does not necessarily equal good taste.  The outfit for Peter's weddinbg was poorly chosen and looked like it was wearing her, as opposed to the other way round.

Of course Cavalli may just be what she needs to start to look good.  I'm not sure that she will achieve the same success that Helen Windsor did with Armani, but Cavalli's originality may just give Beatrice the right blend of style and quirkiness that she needs to boost her fashion profile.

One final thought.  Three hours a day as a personal shopper?  What's the point of that?

'Wonderland' is a new collection of jewellery launched by Boodles, allegedly 'an exploration of beauty in all its hidden depths and facets'.

Beatrice is pictured on her way to this event.  I don't think that she looks too bad here - the dress is a nice colour and sympathetic to her colouring, which is pretty, and it makes her legs look good.  The colour of the shoes is a bit weird though.........

Yeah I have to agree with you both, the dress looks pretty good and she isn't making some weird face to the camera or wearing a strange accessory (other than the shoes, which are not quite right, but forgiveable IMO).

I was looking at some pics of Bea and it seems to me that one of her issues is that she may be short-waisted.
