The Grand Duchesses: a new book!
« on: November 09, 2007, 03:45:49 PM »
I saw this just recently on Amazon.com! It is entitled The Grand Duchesses: Daughters & Granddaughters of Russia's Tsars by E. Beeche. It entails 20 biographies of different Grand Duchesses including OTMA of course, and even the current claimant of the Imperial Throne.

Cover:

I think it looks like an excellent source of information, and well done.
"...I am in Tatiana's room...Olga and Tatiana are here. I am sitting and digging in my nose with my left hand... Olga wanted to slap me but I ran away from her swinish hand..."
-Anastasia Nicholaievna Romanova, May 8th, 1913

It's new for you, but it's been around for a while!  It's published by Eurohistory and Arturo Beeche is the editor.  The biographies of the GD's are done by various different authors.

I hope you enjoy the book!
So long and thanks for all the fish

Oh, I should have checked publishing dates then.... :-[ This thread should probably be deleted as it doesn't have any real point.

Hi NAOTMAA Fan,

No, this thread is still pertinent and usefull.

Give us your review on the book and the chapters that interested you most.
Also, you may want to know that there is a book in publication now, by Arturo Beeche and Eurohistory, called "The Grand Dukes"...  I think Christmas or New Years is the target date for it to come out.

Well thank you both for your much appreciated reassurance!

I liked the book altogether, and I thought OTMA's sections were very nicely done. For all those who've had the chance to read, what did you think?

Oh how very nice of you to say these things...and yes The Grand Duchesses was first published in September 2004, 2 days before my wedding!

The book has been tremendously successful and we just received the third printing!

Although one dealer thought the book had run its course and decided not to sell any more copies...since September 2004 we have sold close to 2500 copies...testament to the wonderful effort done by the writers, as well as by Eurohistory, where we continue to promote the book.

yOU ARE all so lucky

I can´t buy any book about Romanovs here in the Czech republic...There are only Nicolas´ biographies (I read them in library so there´s no point buying them) an occasionaly something on Rasputin or Alexandra (same case as before)....

Why can't you buy other books about the Romanov's?

Since we at Eurohistory.com ship worldwide, including the Czech Republic, I see no reason why you feel so limited?

Nice book!

Tried to drop you a few times an e-mail, but it returned every time 'undeliverable'.
