It seems to be that this thread is slightly forgotten. Just to reborn the thread. Not the best.
Andrei Andreevich Vlasov (1901-1946). WWII commander. Famous and very successful Soviet Lieutenant General (before 1942), after 1942 - being in German captivity decided to cross over to the Nazi's side and head all the Russian collaborationist opposition to Stalin (known as a "Russian Liberation Army"). As a commander was one of the most talented (at least not so typical, like other Soviet generals), most intelligent and probably the most diplomatic-minded (negotiations with Himmler, actions of creating the Russian Liberation Army, etc). The most bright point in career - "Prague uprising" in 1945, when his Army (headed by General Bunyachenko) helped the Prague to liberate from Nazi's, even before the Soviet Army came. Sadly, but after the Nazi's capitulation (May of 1945), Vlasov and other collaborationists were transferred to the Soviet Union by Allies. In 1946 all the officers from the "Russian Liberation Army" were killed without any tribunal by NKVD and Stalin. All of them disappeared forever without any graves, memories (excluding sober-minded/anti-soviet historians) and simple two-lines in school textbook.....
