Hello,

it's interesting to learn that Lady Rose Windsor became engaged.

Beside the announcement in the Court Circular had there been any articles in magazines about her engagement?
Does anybody have pictures of Lady Rose and her future husband George Gilman?

I would like to know about her. For she has no official functions what is she doing?

Thanks,

Gabriella.

The family of the Duke and Duchess will have a very fruitfull 2010 as all three of their children expect babies this year.

Son Alexander,Earl of Ulster and his spouse Clair expect their second child. The couple has a son,Xan Lord Culloden (2007).

Lady Davina and husband Gary Lewis expect their firstborn.

Lady Rose and husband George Gilman also expect their first child.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester have three grand daughters now!

I am surprised that this news had not already been added here!!!!

Lady Rose Gilman gave birth to daughter named Lyla recently. The baby's date of birth has not been released. Lady Davina Lewis' daughter is called Senna and the Earl and Countess of Ulster have a daughter Lady Cosima born May 20th. Rather unusual and untraditionally Royal names! I rather like Cosima! It reminds me of Claus and Sunny von Bulow's daughter and also of Lady Cosima Somerset

Not merely sounds like a laxative, is a laxative; and Cosima makes me think of Cosima Wagner.

I had a thrill while walking to the Orangery on the grounds of Kensington Palace on Tuesday, Sept. 28th.

My husband and I were walking to the Orangery to have a cup of tea when a very low flying claret colored helicopter flew overhead. It was low enough for me to see Her Majesty's cipher on the door of the heli. It landed in a field next to the last apartment within the palace walls. I thought to myself it must be either the Duke and/or Duchess of Gloucester returning from an engagement. I don’t believe any other royal within Kensington Palace would have access to HM’s heli other that the Gloucester’s. I took a picture of it, but it all happened so fast that by the time I took the picture, the heli was high in the sky after taking off again.

It was a thrill nonetheless. = )

If I'm not mistaken, Kensington Palace's grounds are used as the London landing site for the Queen's helicopter, for all members of the Royal Family.  I recall reading somewhere that as children, Princes William and Harry loved to watch the helicopter arriving and departing from the private rooftop terrace atop their palace apartment - which may have influenced their future military choices.

So you may very well have witnessed the landing of HM herself, or the Duke of Edinburgh, or Prince of Wales, or Princess Royal, or any other senior royal.
