Well, I didn't see a thread for Nikolai i Aleksandra and didn't see why I should start a thread just to ask my question. I was watching the 2nd half from Laura's site (without understanding a word of it) and at 14:18, there was a video of Alexei and a little girl at the base of some stairs, I believe. Could that little girl possibly be the one pictured with him in the flowered dress--I can't find it, but she's holding on to his arm? She's always interested me, partly because of her clothing since it doesn't seem to be from the early 1900s.

It's Princess Ileana of Romania and her older brother Prince Nicolas - children of Queen Maria of Romania - first cousin to both Nicholas II and Alexandra. The two families were meeting with a possible match between Crown Prince Carol of Romania and Grand Duchess Olga in mind.
